Which parts of your country would you lose?

Kososvo is about to be declared independent of Greater Serbia. There are serious issues surrounding that.

 

But... here I want to know which parts of their country people would be happy to see removed, either politically or physically, and why.

 

I, for one, would like Northern Ireland to be physically removed from the UK because I can't see Iceland with my high powered telescope. It's just in the way. :verymad: I could also mention Wales and Cornwall because they block the Scilly Isles, but that would be ...silly.

I must say something here in order to prevent the riot that will inevitably begin if I do not. He means no offence, he simply has a rare sense of humor, and may I say for the hope of mankind it is not contagious.

I have been in close consultations with the team of doctors working on his case. This is his attempt to reach out and embrace the humanity that he abandoned many years ago, albeit poorly. He writes to me every day from his sick bed in England and none of it is repeatable here.

 

No wait, in his most recent missive he tells me he has contracted "Shanghai Bird Bothering Syndrome" some kind of killing head cold according to him, from another patient in his isolated ward. I will have to check with his doctors in order to confirm this terrible disease set upon his fragile state.

 

So please smile, and say something nice, possibly even funny. Try to play along with him. This will raise his spirits as the thought of laughter lightens his dark days.

 

It will please him so, and the doctors do say his condition is improving. So let us all hope the best for him.

Yes, I've heard of it. It's the second effects he probably suffered from the Bird flu. Quite nasty.

I must say I am very pleased with those of you who are showing such compassion for our friend. He will be giddy with joy, when he sees's how this community is surrounding him with concern and support. Not too close now, as I believe I did say that I "hoped" it was not contagious.

 

Now for those of you who have been willing to sacrifice large areas of you countries, in order to "play along," a word of caution.

 

There is a saying here in America, "I may be dumb but I ain't stupid." You will notice that he has perfectly sound reasoning for why certain parts of his country should be utterly destroyed. For instance:

So please lavish your choices with equally rational remarks. For instance:

 

'Texas, because all the bushes get in the way of my view of the Rio Grande, and the lovely fireworks that the friendly substance smugglers start every night.'

 

This is the kind of thinking that he would most certainly approve of, because in his mind there is a justifiable reason for the wholesale destruction of the countryside. We mustn't let on that we like to "blow things up, just because its fun" which is of course the truth; however without a reason Chesto may think we are barbarians. Chesto does have a scene of right and wrong, however obscure and unusual. He would be horrified to think he had fallen in with barbarians. We must keep that little secret to ourselves. Another good example would be:

 

'California, because barbarians are at the gates of Silicon Valley.'

 

Barbarians at the gates of any city would fill him with both outrage and support. For any movement at any cost, involved in the destruction of anything, with the specific elimination of said barbarians. He is an Englishman after all and therefore by birth civilized. We don't start wars for any other reason than they are Profitable in some way to someone; it would simply be uncivilized to think any other way. And it would go against all common sense.

 

Are you following me so far?

 

Therefore, I would please ask those of you who have posted "one liners" to consider revising your comments.

 

The famous Ninja is of course excused from such revisions, as his apparent willingness to sacrifice most of his country, will be seen simply as unbridled support for Chesto's original concept.

 

Again, I thank you one and all, for your participation in this sham, I mean show of support for the well-being of one of our eldest members!

Agreed, but you also forgot Washington (the state).

 

We could send them to "super fun re-education vacation camps" in Alaska. We'll call them "galugs."

I'm not sure I would outright get rid of anything, but I would make better use of two of the more worthless states. I'd clip off the "phallic" part of Florida and use it to bridge Mississippi and Louisiana so my brother will come visit more often (he has a weird bridge phobia and refuses to drive across the river).

 

And sticking with the theme land relocation, I'd scoop out massive parts of Texas and use it to raise Louisiana above sea-level.
