aaroc
I personally would look at other four legged creatures, like wolves and cats and such
VampireKnight16
Yes I am going to model it, I just was asking about a method that would easily and quickly give my new creation forelegs. And no I'm actually Australian. I'm calling it a Draak because thats the closest equivalent name of a Dragon I found in one of the books, which for some reason says a lot of the Dragons live in Tasmania. Go figure. haha, i live in Tasmania. Your design is pretty awesome. i sugest. coppy the back legs. and put them as forarms. but mod them to look a little less like back legs? you kn.... Sorry was scratching my Scar on my neck. been itchy sense the surgery... Never mind anyway. Just Change them a little and it should look fine. AllsoYou should make them be able to be a pet? because i think that would be awesome a draak as a pet. because really the NPC's you get are useless and get in the way. Cheers! Blacksnake89
I might suggest that you could take the already existing wings and gut them as a temporary measure while you mess with coding to make it land bound. Also when you've finished making a wingless dragon I think it would be a good idea to scale its size down and make Dragonlings aswell.
huntsman2310
Well currently this guy and some other types of Dragons I'm making probably won't be fully complete until the Creation Kit comes out, because to be honest I suck at coding or scripting. I actually just had a brainwave involving Velociraptors so hold tight.
billyro
You could make the forearms machine guns. THAT would put a spin on things. But in all seriousness, the model as it is looks awesome so far. Perhaps the arms can just be smaller versions and a remodelled foot/hand. However, the velopciraptors... good idea. Just go with whatever you think is best. Either way, people will be grateful for you making it. On a completely unrelated note: it seems that Aussies like this thread. I'm Australian too. :P
huntsman2310
So I decided to copy and paste the back legs.http://i.imgur.com/6cixu.jpg But now I think I need to make the new 'forelegs' a bit smaller, thin them out and then make them longer and place them lower on the body, does anyone have any suggestions about a good way to do this? billyro
That looks awesome! I reckon you'd need to make the actual feet a bit smaller, but as for the thigh leg, that needs a massive reduce in size. Also, as I'm sure you're working on already, it needs a better attachment to the body. Keep up the good work. Also, what's the big hole in him above his forelegs? Ghogiel
Most quadruped limb orientation doesn't go like that, The knees on the front limb point backwards, it's very mush like us humans actually < yes even horses, notice where the femur ends and the patella is, and notice where/what the metatarsal is. People confuse the heel of a horse with its knee as the upper legs are kinda in the side of the horse and just assume. http://www.skeletaldrawing.com/psgallery/images/silesaurus.jpghttp://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/12/ENU/3ds%20Max%202010%20Tutorials/images/MED/Renoir-Tut/English/quadruped/quadruped_foot_callout.pnghttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/33/Horseanatomy.png basically your dragons knee is backwards. Omnimmotus
I actually just had a epiphany while going through some of my books on Dragons. Turns out the normal Dragons in Skyrim are all Wyverns. (Meanwhile, two posts above:) The exact definition of wyvern is hard to pinpoint, but it seems to boil down to "a dragon which does not have four legs". In this sense, all the dragons of Skyrim are wyverns. *shakes fist* I TOLD YOU, BUT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME. NO ONE WANTED TO BELIEVE. *ahem* In other news: Most quadruped limb orientation doesn't go like that... ...basically your dragons knee is backwards.Listen to this man; he speaks truth. But otherwise, I love what I see.
huntsman2310
I know what front legs are like, I haven't gotten around to de-fattening the thighs of the forelegs yet. Once I've done that I'll straighten them out. Then I'll reduce the feet size and see what comes up. and sorry about that man I must have just skimmed past that :wallbash: Edited December 22, 2011 by huntsman2310
