Thanks TheCalliton and Vindekarr for the feedback on what I called 'helix guns'. I know about the Calico M950 but also other helical magazine weapons, having researched them for past writings. The same kind of magazine can be used for the Danuvia VD-01, PP-19 Bizon, PP-90M1, and CF-05 submachine guns.

 

My mistake was that I used the term 'helix gun' in one of my stories, being a nick name in the near future for any weapon normally using a helical magazine. I forgot that the term is not used in the real world. I also used future versions of helical magazines, and helical magazine using guns, in some experimental writings.

 

There is also the Calico M960 Carbine that can come in a fully automatic version as sold to authorized buyers. I am not sure if this is still being made.

 

As far as I know the M950 pistol is no longer being manufactured.

 

Another helical magazine gun is the M100 semiautomatic rifle that uses only the 100 bullet helical magazine. As far as I know this is still being manufactured.

 

As in the past, when I rechecked on information about these weapons I found it hard to find a consistent story. I learned research techniques at university; one needs to at least double check any information.

 

Main point is, people, that this post is not about anything but having fun.

Above is a Calico M100 semiautomatic rifle. Nice looking gun. I love the wooden stock.

I'm trying to think what sort of noise a three barreled 20 MM grenade machinegun with a higher rate of fire than a Glock 18 would make, but it so far escapes me. The sound of hundreds of 20mm HEDP exploding like firecrackers, would probably be a more predictable sound: like satan's own Chinese New Year chain-firecracker. Spurred on by both my boredum with assembling real guns, the positive reception of my "real guns for real heroes" I shall be visiting this thread a bit I think. Now, if you'll excuse me, i've got a shotgun to design.

I was going to to a helical magazine laser spewing grenade launching knifecannon in honour of Marharg but then I saw these massive barrels froma Cheytac Olympic and couldn't resist making this + sized, quad barreled pump action slug shotgun. It's more flachette than birdshot, i figure a spray of deerslug would do more damage. I called it the Burginator: why such an odd name? well look at it this way: you'll probably be intending to eat whatever you're hunting, so this handy device not only kills dinner, it turns it into fresh, incenerated mince, so all you have to do is scoop some up off the ground, blend through some eggs, toss it on a bun, and you've got yourself a bearburger.

The second half is here, and it's a big one, considering the EVE server was down for a patch and my xbox was undergoing maintainance AND Skyrim was CTD'ing all the time.

 

From top to bottom:

 

5X56mm machine-pistol with folding stock for maximum awkward grip. Recoil and noise would be gargantuan, but it'd pack a helluva punch for a pistol.

 

40mm pistol: 12x7? 12x7?! you call that a handgun? that isn't a handgun, THIS is a handgunl! A real handgun for real heroes, it fires a standard 40mm grenade rifle shell, being essentialy that standalone M203 post an insane weight reduction. Dual wielding grenade launchers: the ultimate way to be called a tuber.

 

G36 and G36K: a favorite rifle of mine, the old G-36 looks like and behaves totaly diferently depending on it's particular loadout. I mostly assembled this because I was bored stiff.

 

M-4sg: Because versatility is the key: This beast rips the 5x56 mechanism out of an M-4 and replaces it with a more breacher-friendly automatic slug mechanism: Sometimes you've got to fight it out up close and personal, but can't gimp your long range capabilities by carrying a shotgun, and that's what this kit adresses. Simply replace the upper reciever of your M-4 before you go inside, and then give those bleedin' horrible campers the fright of their soon-to-be-ended lives with this thundering, fully automatic 8-guage.
