DreamCodex
black holes like looking inside the mesh or black holes as in the texture was not showing up?and if i can find the werewolf mesh or someone can send it to me i can tweek it myself or redo most of it. Also i could make some normal maps, polygroup maps and some uv maps aswell and organize them for you guys if you want we need to be careful that the regain boost of the werewolves does not make it over powered when in use with the ladystone edit: i didnt say white, i meant silver, like make the fur have a healthy shine to it at night time, probably might be a problem in somewhere like winterhold but in winterhold i usually cant see much of myself unless i have black on As I have stated before this mesh DOSE NOT have the holes in the mesh http://samogen.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=45 I fixed that in Nifscope. do you have triangles in the mesh? argan
my opinion: making a toggle for the beast form seems like... immersion breaking.is like wearing an armor (already ridiculous being able to equip an heavy armor in an istant) that makes you godlike. rapid and "should be simple" ideas : 1) shortening the beast form (default 2.5 mins)2) giving the feed more boost than 30 sec3) giving the option to open/enter doors so, in the meanwhile you are in a dungeon you can slaughter wathever you want for that short period and once finished you can go back looting. I didn't Add or Remove any of the original Triangles so yes it has Triangles.
DreamCodex
no wonder the texturing for the wolf looks so odd...from what i have been taught from my teachers, triangles are always a no no...well i can honestly either quickly redo the mesh by copying most of it and making it cleaner or i can just adjust the current one and turn it into squares, which i think might take longer
samogen
Yeah the whole game is done in Triangles it's a pain in the butt.
DreamCodex
i honestly have not pulled any meshes out of the game yet, i only have put in some swords that i made for other purposes that i thought would be cool in skyrim, so i have not looked at any of the meshes meshes that have triangles like so are considered very messy and disorganized and not very recommended, it also makes textures look a bit odd, or not as well
TheElderInfinity
Argan: That's just a temp fix. Plus the first Iteration of CoH will most likely break beast form Dream: Your the 3d modeler. What would you recommend?
samogen
Yeah thats what I've read too. I wounder if Bethesda did that intentionally or if they just don't know any better?
TheElderInfinity
By redoing it in squares, I assume you mean you'll also be applying the changes to the mesh, I.E the head and ear shape?
DreamCodex
Yeah thats what I've read too. I wounder if Bethesda did that intentionally or if they just don't know any better? well to tell you the truth, its a whole lot easier to make things fast and use triangles, well if your not used to using quadrilaterals @Elder Well i was planning on redoing the whole werewolf, its not worth just redoing the areas where we are going to adjust things, might run into some rendering issues later on, but ill see, first someone has to tell me how or where i can download the .obj file for the werewolf so i can take a look at it
