Dasielle
I wanted to use this mod http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3809#content to add new hair. I tried everything logical, I even watched videos on youtube on how to do it and it just doesn't work for me and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I go check the character creation screen everytime and there is no new hairs. I can't download them with the manager because it says that the page couldn't be found. I just download manually. Can someone tell me the steps I have to use for THIS mod, cause a lot of mods give different kind of files. I play on steam btw. I'm trying to get it work for 1 and a half hour now. KratosAurion777
Okay i will help you . 1-You go in your "The elder Scroll skyrim" folder .2-You go in the "Data" folder that is in the "The elder scroll skyrim" folder3-You Extract the files you have download in the data folder . ( Normally it's .Esp files ) .4-You Open the launcher of skyrim and click on data files for verify that it will run the mod.5-Enjoy . I advice you to download/install this mod manually ( without any log ) since it's a small one . -if data files is grayed just say it i will help you . jwcurry83
First you need to find your Skyrim root folder inside your steam folder (\Steam\steamapps\common)... go inside the Skyrim folder and you should find a folder named "Data"... now extract the zip file (the file you downloaded here) to the Skyrim folder. You will then be prompted to merge the DATA folder, which is what you want to do... then allow the mod to merge any other folders it needs to (textures and meshes), and overwrite any files as well. That's it.
CreepShow1334
Apparently, the Data Files option doesn't come lit up by default for everyone, in which case you need to go to your userfolder->Documents->My Games->Skyrim; then you must edit SkyrimPrefs.ini and add the line "bEnableFileSelection=1" without quotes to the subsection in the ini file titled [Launcher] Then you should be able to enable the mods from the Data Files option from the launcher. It already has those lines and I did what the other people were telling me like 10000 times already, I rly don't know.
HadToRegister
Don't click on the "Download with Manager" button that's on the main MOD page under the Endorsements. Click the next tab called "Downloads and click the "Download with manager" button there. Then just install the mod with the Nexus Mod Manager. The Bluejay
Alternatively, if that still doesn't work, download the mod manually, as per normal, then open up the Nexus Mod Manager and click the button which says "Add mod from file" (mods tab, first button on the left)The simply locate the file you downloaded, add it and activate it.
