crawe1x
Have to admit, although it was asking for trouble, the idea of 250+ settlers is pretty damn impressive. Sounds like you were well on the way to taking the Commonwealth population back to pre-War levels. :D
Lynna
I also want to say, if mod authors are removing mods in anticipation of paid mods coming out soon, there are definitely mods I would pay for. Whoever, after exchanging money for a license to use the author's work the expectation of support does come into play. A lot of mod authors have said in their description, No I Will Not Make Any Changes - This is How I Like IT! I absolutely respect those authors. There will probably be a price point change from a mod that has some form of support from the mod author (at least in the attempt to fix bugs and what not) and the mod sold as is. I'm kind of hoping that the authors are pulling their stuff down in anticipation of getting some actually compensation for their time - something I agree with. Lynna
I made snappable bunk-like beds. You put one on top of another and they're bunk. Settlers use them just fine :smile:Â I just started using those today. They are awesome. I had people using both bunks. I applaud your ingenuity! And thank you very much. damanding
The mod page says "The reason given by the author is: Hidden until fixed." http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11306/? That's the extent of knowledge anyone has as far as I know. ouyin2000
This is pretty much unplayable now for me. I get excited to continue my save game and then I remember that this mod is borked and then I lose all interest and do something else instead. laowai68
I use DCMS v1.05 plus Better Settlers without issue for many a play through. Average settlement size is 30 with a couple at 50+. That's with 59 active mods and 69 plug-ins. If memory serves, all 1.05 does is name settlers, allows you to choose male/female ratio and set NPCs to essential or killable. A reminder to all that the latest version isn't always the greatest version. Â Reading this, I just dumped a copy of my NMM folder with the 7z and Rar files onto a second and third hard drive. Too many great mods that I'd hate to lose, like DCMS and DDproduction's work like the .50 Desert Eagle, Thumper, 1x1 foundations...
snapper69
I loved DCMS, the better attack warnings, naming the settlers and burning the corpses that I couldn't scrap and probably other things behind the scenes. Then I stopped getting the improved warnings, then I couldn't allocate some settlers and the ones that I could allocate to stores had 0 caps. I read that Better Settlers could cause problems, so I uninstalled it, but it made no difference, so I uninstalled DCMS and things got better, but as soon as it comes back, I'll install it again. SetArk
So....A long time and no news.Anyone managed to contact the Mod Author?
damanding
Sadly no. Most of the mod's functionality can be achieved with other mods at least. The one area in which mods are sorely lacking is the settler naming part. Currently there's not a lot of good, non-buggy options that don't involve using console commands. However the author of Sim Settlements is considering making settler naming a feature of his mod in the future but it may not be soon.
