Dragon rate

Hi!

I've played for about 70+ hours, so far and Im enjoying it. Still got that "new game" feeling ;) Yet I can't stop being bothered about the dragon rate. I've read a lot about people complaining about the dragon difficulty, but since I turned the game setting to expert ( not bragging, try out midas spells and you'll see ;) ) I've found the dragon difficulty as no problem. Still I feel like I that the dragon spawn rate is just too low.

So I was wondering, is there anywhere I could change the spawning rate, in .ini for example?

Thanks and sorry for the English ;)

If you fast travel a lot you will see a ton of dragons, visiting the dragon lairs they respawn every few days. Also the stagger effect on spells makes it easy to deal with dragons. Not sure how to increase the dragon spawn rate. Still I always seem to find a ton of them when I do not want to.

I hated those dragons at first because of my skill level and because fighting them kept getting me into trouble with the other npcs who got offended when my shouts would mess up their hair.

But now that I'm leveled up a little more and know what to do to beat them...there are too few of them.

I seem to get one just while entering an area there's a dragon shout symbol...I don't know if anyone else has noticed that. But that's how I know I'm close to one of those wall shout symbols...a dragon will welcome me on my travels. Hmmm, must be a shout near by. Goodie! :D

But yeah, I wish there were more because I want to stock up on dragon souls. I'm down to 2 of them and would like to have an extra few just in case a dragon doesn't show up before finding another wall shout symbol or two.

Plus, they give good drops..all those bones and scales and there's always at least 200 gold in those suckers! Yay!

I never really noticed a lack of dragons. I fast travel a lot and as mentioned above that really tends to draw them out. (Must hate us not enjoying Skyrim's enviroment XD). I wouldn't know if there is a way to change the spawn rate, but they do respawn every few days, so just wait three or so days and travel to a burial mound or town, one will pop up sooner or later.

Perhaps one needs to continue some of the main quests...

I've been doing mostly side quests and exploring; maybe it's time to do another leg of a main quest.

I only go so far into the main quest (I stop after I get my Full Fus Ro Dah), and I have dragon skeletons littered all over the place.

I'm glad Bethesda fixed that in a patch, because I had 7 dragon skeletons littering the plaza at the Mage College, and 2 in the town below.

They were all over the place.

After playing some last night, I took a quest and found a word wall, so I went into the screen to buy the word with a dragon soul and noticed I had 15 dragon souls

saved up, and that's from playing the past 3 days.

They pop up after every single fast travel for me, and it could be a fast travel from the West Tower to Whiterun, (which is a couple hundred yards, I did it for an experiment)

and like clockwork, a dragon showed up.

Too few?!

The things are like a plague of locusts. Queue the dramatic music, queue something buzzing around that you cant hit while the dramatic music goes on endlessly, queue it landing and you smashing it as its about as tough as a marshallow, more dramatic music, same old dragin death animation, and you are left with some heavy bones and stuff that are useless unless you want to make dragon armour (overweight and underpowered compare dto Ebony), or spend days waiting for traders to restock so that they have the money to buy them off you.

One dragon is an event, 5 dragons become a bit samey, 10 dragons becomes a chore, 20 dragons become a "oh god, not again, I'l reload to my last save".

If you are finding there are too few dragons then say a prayer of thanks to the gods of Tamriel.
