prolovegirl
Do you stick to just one companion, in each of your games? And do you choose that one companion based on your current character? Or (for example) do you get Ugor for sneak missions, Aranea when you're on a mission that needs magic attacks, and Lydia when you need melee (and so on)? I'm interested in how you use your followers. elleonblanco
I only use Lydia. She has been with me from the beginning. She has been outfitted with highly enchanted armor and can actually sneak fairly well. Strategy with her is simple I only carry a bow and a dagger. I sneak in the lead position and normally take out the targets before they realize we are there. If we get over run or overwhelmed Lydia moves to front position and engages with a battleaxe. I then fall to support position with arrow and/or destruction. If it gets too hairy simply conjure dual Dremora Lords and maintain support position. If boss fight let Lydia and conjured assistance handle the regular NPCs while I focus on weakening or killing boss. Simple as that. By the way I only play at master difficulty and have done so since I installed the game. Even though I have no actual idea as easy as master is anything less would have to be a total cakewalk. abaris
Better wait for some mods to make the companions useful and meaningful. I'm sure, there will be some. Right now, they're just a burden and eventually they die on you.
TimF
Pack mules. They're only a little bit useful for a mage as meat shields from time to time. A little bit.
FordPerfect
Annoying pack mules that jump in my line of fire and go charging off after enemies.

KratosAurion777
I use Lydia . With her enchanted stuff she do a lot of Damages , She use the busterSword with max dmg possible with the Smithing//enchanting//alchemy combo ( Dmg = Daedric greatsword ) With Lightning/Frost enchant and a lot of fortify 2 handed enchant or Archery on the other parts . She looks cute with her daedric armor and the 2 dremora lord next to her .

Since i play in master x4 that mean my damages are divided by 8 so yes she do a great amount of damages because it don't affect her .Remember , she have the best stuff possible and best enchant that give her + 192 % of Two handed damages .
