CTD cause of mods but which one ? oulala

Hello everybody !!

 

I think i had the eyes bigger than the belly (french expression, nevermind) !

I wanted to install a lot of cool mods, and make my game better !!

 

That was perfect theorically, but when i was playing, not so much haha...

 

My game : Legendary Edition

My process : i downloaded and installed mods from nexus mod manager. I checked as better as possible, the requirements & compatibilities of each mods before downloading.

Then, i used BOSS (install & run : 89 mods, 4 warnings, no errors, you can find attached my sreenshot ).

 

After, LOOT to sort my order (you also can find a screenshot attached to this post).

 

I launched the skse.exe to begin my game :

I start to play, choosing my character and traits (thx to character creation overhaul mod), then after it was ok, ready to begin my new life in this world, CTD ! Hop..

I have Papyrus log, i attached this also. Can you help me ?

 

I have another logfile called CEFDebugLog.txt if interested :

I installed and try Wrye bash, but i don't understand nothing (i have the good one, standalone version).

I would pare down your load order and use these patches.

 

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71214/?

 

Unofficial High Resolution Patch: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31255/?

 

You can start adding mods back once you exit the cave.

Ok the unofficial patches you gave me, are needed to play with a lot of mods, that's it ?

 

So i have to disable all my mods, add these 2 importants patches, then add my others mods, if i understood well.

 

Tell me if i'm wrong.

The patches fix a lot of bugs and probably prevent some CTDs, but there's probably more to your CTD than that.

 

I had the exact same problem in my current game. Cut my load order down to around 25 mods. Once I exited the cave I started to add mods back in. Currently using 121 active mods :).

 

I think the game has trouble loading too many mods in the beginning.

Seemed great, i saved, back to nexus mod manager to activate all mods, then re-launched the game, continue my save and CTD ! Grrrrr

Ok i have some problems to put my papyrus file here. FIle is too big apparently (124 ko...)

Did you clean your Masters with TesVEdit like LOOT told you? Cleaning is not required for the vanilla game but it is very important if you plan on modding.

Nope.... didn't know i had to do this.

Edit : Ok i watched a youtube video to explain me how to do (select update, " apply filter for cleaning", "remove identical to master records", undelete and disable references"). I didn't understand why, and how is it useful, but i did.

 

I did it for skyrim + update, then for skyrim + updates + DLC (and this for all DLCs) and i didn't forgot to save backups when quit program.

 

But problem still here.

 

I upload my new papyrus log so. i Don't understand why i have :

- a lot of error: property ...

- error: File "Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded.stack: ...

error: File "Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded.

stack , and this for all unofficial patches.

After cleaning, did you re-run LOOT to make sure you got them all? I can't read papyrus.

 

Is Skyrim installed in your your Program Files directory (default directory)? If so, that is bad if you plan on modding since it causes UAC problems even when run as administrator. If it is, you will have to re-install elsewhere then reclean your masters.

Just to add, you shouldn't be using BOSS anymore. It is completely superceded by LOOT.

 

EDIT: Also, The Dance of Death is outdated. Use Violens instead.
