OK, so I used to have this problem about a year ago on the older version. From my experience with it, it seems to be an issue with a mod. A certain mod adds a certain something, and Skyrim doesn't like it. It puts things it considers "trash" in the very center of skyrim, which happens to be above Bleakwind.

My issue was all the dragonflies, butterflies, and fish in Skyrim were at that spot, causing my FPS to drop to the single digits. Actually having this bug right now, and this time its a bunch of glaciers. @_@ There are three ways you could solve this...

1) Now, if it's a single item, you could open up the console, and disable, or markfordelete. bang. it's gone, but if it's multiple stacked objects, and there is no possible way you could delete all 500 of them, like it was for me, follow 2.

2) Go in game, and click on the house through the console. Note the first two initials of the code. If its 00, then its a vanilla object being messed with by a mod. If its FF, its added by a script. (I'd be surprised if its a script though, its a house lol.) If its anything else, like L3, or E2, its added by a mod, and those first two initials are its position in your load order.

if its a mod-added object, try moving the mod around in your load order, or disable it.

if for some reason you cant find out what the problem is, or if its a vanilla asset being messed with by a mod you dont know, then youll have to go about it the old fasioned way, and disable mods one by one, until you find the issue. if that happens, keep in mind its a house, which means that any mod that could edit the position of a house, like a city overhaul, player home, or a new town all together could be the answer. even something small, like a simple addition of a new shrine.

once you've found the problem, either delete it, or move it in priority. keep trying different things to see if it helps the issue.

now as for the downside to this step: IF its a vanilla asset, and there are multiple copies of the house, once the problem is fixed, there is a chance that you'll have to start a new game. not pretty, but I dont think that will happen in you're case. it looks like just one big house. Just trying to give as much info as I can. never know if someone else may have this problem too.

3) If it has no standing effects on your game, and you're chill with floating houses, you could just leave it. I mean.....its a floating house...lol. and it doesnt obstruct your view TOO much.

I hope you can solve it buddy,

hikingglint.

Some people have reported this issue is caused by No Snow Under The Roof. Others have said it was caused by using an outdated version of USSEP.

No snow under the roof<<<Here is the name of the mod that caused floating building at Bleakwind Basin Giant camp Removed that mod it fixed it worked for me good Luck.

EDIT: Good news! I think I figured it out. Because of the update to Skyrim yesterday. USSEP was causing it. I disabled it yesterday when I was testing and it was showing the buildings with your mods still enabled, and I checked just now with USSEP updated and it looks like the building is no longer showing up with your mods on. I still do not understand how your mod was making it show up with everything else off when it was USSEP causing the problem. Thanks for being patient with me Steve. And love your mods keep it up! posted @ 4:26, 13 Nov 2016 , edited at 4:53, 13 Nov 2016 by Gearalt

So far as I am aware, No Snow Under The Roof has no deleted references. Obviously neither does USSEP.

This issue with floating objects above Bleakwind Basin is due to mods that have deleted references. These are the lucky ones that don't immediately cause a CTD from it. It's very much an issue with mods that needs to be taken up with the authors of those mods, once the unclean mods are identified.

I realize this is an old post, but it was just erroneously reported on the USSEP tracker as a vanilla bug.

Hi, Arth.

It looks like No Snow Under The Root does indeed have a deleted reference in that area:

http://i.imgur.com/mDJiaJb.jpg

I'm also aware about the old post, but this is the only relateable one I have came across as I only noticed the issue in my game now. Exactly the same as in the OP's screenshot.

Here's what I tried and how I fixed it, for anyone that might have the same issue:

Copying the entry from Skyrim esm as override into an patch below No Snow Under The Roof didn't fix the issue.

So, what I did was just removed the whole POITundra18 field from No Snow Under The Roof.

Loaded the game and the floating house was gone.

That is the exact same house I am having a bad day with too. Thing is I love No Snow Under The Roof. Is there a way you can explain that fix in plain english for those of us who don't normally mess with this kinda thing? ... I will report this to the No Snow page. Would they be able to patch it or fix it with an update if you explained what you did?

Sure thing. I'll explain what I did.

Just load up SSEEdit and load Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp with it.

Then just refer to the screenshot below to see to what to expand and which entry to right click and select Remove.

http://i.imgur.com/yC7WxbI.jpg

Just select to proceed at any prompt window after you hit Remove.

Then, when the entry is removed, hit the X at the top right corner of SSEEdit to close it, like you would any window. At the prompt make sure the plugin is checkmarked to save changes to it and if you want also tick the box below to make a backup of the plugin.

And that's it.

This will, of course, remove whatever the author intended to do in that area, if anything. I'm guessing a house or something around there was meant to have the mod effect applied. Maybe the destroyed house?
So, you can consider this a temporary fix for the floating house, but not an actual fix for whatever the mod was meant to achieve there. Just to be clear I'm not claiming I fixed the mod or anything.

Hope it goes smooth for you.

Hello! I know this is taxing, but I had the same problem, and seeing as I am a noob, this was all I could do. I installed the wonderful mod "Jaxonz Positioner v2.0". I went to the tundra with my fingers crossed. I pressed "~" to open the console and type "tcl" to turn off collision. Now I sky-walked to the floating house above Bleakwind Basin then started using Jaxonz' mod to delete the meshes, in-game, one by one. It must have took only 25 or so delete commands to get rid of it all. The whole roof is just one mesh. The foundations are two meshes. I also tried the "disable" and "markfordelete" console comands and they worked too. I know it's not the "pro solution", but all I had with me was the humility to accept that I don't know and the patience to make fifty clicks. Talos bless you all. Stay safe and keep and eye on the sky.

PS: And in case you were wondering why I didn't mention the fixes above, my so nooby answer is that I don't have "No Snow Under Roof" and still have the problem.

~

Update: So, I opened up SSEdit to see "POITundra18" and saw that the only things affecting it were Update.esm, USSEP, and ConvenientCarriages.esp. This floating house was present in another playthrough that didn't have ConvenientCarriages.esp but had Update and Ussep. Still digging...

Update: So, I tried deleting "POITundra18" from ConvenientCarriages.esp and USSEP and the flying house is still there. That leaves Update.esm. I'll try deleting it from there when I get to my rig...

Update: Reloading the game erases the floating house. It returns after an hour of gameplay. And it's not Update.esm cause the "placed object" entries in POITundra18 don't show any dwelling type entries. Still digging...

Update: I jotted down the formID of each item in the floating house and other stuff, searched each formID in SSEdit, and they were from various mods, "Less Desolate Winterhold", "This is Riverwood", and "Fingerposts Fast Travel" among others. I did however notice that all of these formIDs were flagged as "DELETED". This is where I stopped cause I don't know what that means. Or why, if they were flagged as deleted, do they still show up, and why there, above Bleakwind Basin? Or, why when I right click these entries in SSEdit there is no option to 'remove'. Help is appreciated...

Update: SSEdit QuickAutoClean has turned the 'deleted' flag into 'initially disabled'. Gone for now. Will test for longer gameplay times to see if the floating house returns...
Update: SSEdit QuickAutoClean has turned the 'deleted' flag into 'initially disabled' and after several months, I have never seen those floating objects above Bleakwind again. Case closed.
