Download speed for premium not worth it?

So yeah i paid for Premium for this garbage download speed? my speed on steam can reach up to 20mb/s and here it is barely 1 =_=

These are mods - and most are small.

This is not Steam - i.e. not with a bazillion dollars worth of hardware.

Make sure you select your download centre - perhaps another might be faster for you even if it sounds as if it wouldn't be. [edit] if the ping speed stated is to the download server then ignore this comment.

 

tbh - I got premium to support the team and everyone (we're better off with this site and it can't exist without funding), but I agree to a point. I did download a 'manual only' file today and it took 30 minutes to do 1.4 Gb (less than a tenth of the speed I sometimes get elsewhere).

 

I think the point is - we might be getting NMM downloads faster and without premium cash input the non-standard downloads might be even slower.

Also, I believe premium membership allows you to make multiple downloads simultaneously (unless that's changed. Or I'm stupid.)

 

The cdn servers are supposed to get better at "serving" your files as you download them. I.E. the more files you download, the faster your downloads should get in general.

 

Like TaSwao said, check your NMM's download preference and try a new setting to see if that improves your speed.

Please can you take a screenshot with the download manager open so we can see what server you're downloading from and how many chunks it's downloading at a time?
