huntsman2310
Mount and Blade Warband, a indie game that does combat correctly. It was praised for its mounted combat particularly. Which is what I want Skyrim to be praised on as well. So I had an Idea, would it be possible to extract the animations for spear or lance attacks, convert them into the havok format, and then use them in Skyrim? Lutine
Sure, but it's illegal.
huntsman2310
So I couldn't say take the spear animations from Mount and Blade Warband, convert it to a Havok, do all the neccessary rigging and editing and such, and then put it into Skyrim? Lutine
If you make the spear animations yourself, then sure.If it was originally a resource from Mount and Blade, then no.
buddah
If you own both games you can, but do not upload it here as that will get it quickly removed and your account as well. Make no mention of it here or link to any ripped content. Buddah
huntsman2310
Yes I have both games so I'll do it then. Thank you for clearing the matter.
nosisab
If you know how to make animations, you sure can make them from scratch, I don't believe animations can be put under copyright. But if you just take the files and do a rough conversion... listen to buddah's advice, he's wise.
Ghogiel
, I don't believe animations can be put under copyright. You never 'put' something under copyright, it is copyright at the moment of creation, this applies to all original works. Then factor in shipped as content of a game.. it's game content and is subject to all sorts of.. well you get the idea
