JanusForbeare
I feel bad about noticing this stuff. :ohdear: Don't! I did a bunch of research prior to writing AD's storyline, but I was bound to miss some details. Feedback like this helps me tighten up the mod and keep it true to established TES lore. Though it's a shame about Orsinium, I always liked the idea of an orc city. Not to mention I enjoy Atvir's disgusted line about, "Can you imagine what that city must smell like?". Oh well, I'll find an appropriate way to replace it, when I get a chance. I haven't played through DG yet on the Dawnguard's side - I had heard about the Dres elf among the vampires, and I wanted to get to know him. Now that I have, I think that you're right, Atvir wouldn't be a fan of the guy. He would, however, want to glean as much information from him as he could about the glory days of the Dres. Ultimately, I get the feeling that Atvir would be pretty equivocal about the decision of what side to join. If I do end up making a DG plugin, he'll probably leave the choice in the player's hands. nakakita
I always imagined him making comments about offering to keep watch if Serana was around, and it was time to sleep. Not wanting to be a snack and all. It's also hilarious when they end up fighting. Though once, they both joined forces to attempt to kill Atvir's horse. (One ice spike was all it took for this to happen.) I do wish that Dawnguard didn't force you to keep her around so much though. And why did they give her silent roll, but not light foot? (Ah! I remember you mentioning that to make Atvir just a bit less overpowered you were working on a perk leveling thing for him? Please have him keep lightfoot from the get-go. His over-powered-ness never actually bothered me though because I always assumed that he'd have more experience in.. just about everything.. than my character. (Though this might change if I played something besides humans) I'd expect him to start at level 20 at least.) It's a pity there's not more Dres references in Morrowind. Just a quick line about them being 'always firm temple supporters, who have no holdings in Vvardenfell'. Less Generic NPCs adds some, (along with Tamriel Rebuilt) but that's not exactly cannon. And it is sad about the Orcs. They're more loyal to the legion than most imperials even are. But the legion didn't want to deal with a massive civil war, and the orcs understood. I remember that orc adventurer you could meet in Oblivion who was trying to gain glory for their king. Ah well. And I liked that line too. I've also never heard his lines about mills in game, and that's saddening, because they're really funny. Does something special trigger them besides.. being around a mill? JanusForbeare
Atvir will be keeping light-foot, that's a given. I'm not sure if the script I've written to add additional perks to him as he levels will work or not - I'll need to roll up a new character soon to test out this, and a few other features. All in all, keeping him balanced is turning into a real b*tch. I've also never heard his lines about mills in game, and that's saddening, because they're really funny. Does something special trigger them besides.. being around a mill? I'm curious how you learned about them - I assume you poked around his brain in the CK? I've never heard them either, though I don't spend much time waiting around mills. I'm not sure if this is because Bethesda never assigned the LocTypeLumbermill keyword to any locations in game, or simply because he never decided to say them. In answer to your question, being in a location with the keyword is the only condition for those lines, apart from the standard conditions on any of his banter. nakakita
Haha, I've been nagging and nagging a friend about him, and the youtube review doesn't really give you an idea of what he sounds like (because of the annoying narrator), so I had to get examples myself. I opened BSA, extracted his voice clips, and converted them to .wav, and heard the mill comments that way. Only time I've done anything with him in the CK was when I was extracting his face texture to fix that bug. And the friend won't download the file I so nicely came up with containing voice clips anyway, so it was all for naught. But those mill comments are hilarious. I actually spent about 20 minutes in game, around a mill trying to get them to trigger once. No such luck.
SongbirdLorelei
Didn't know if I should make a new thread. I just wanted to post this for the other Atvir fans that show up/are keeping tabs here. In case you're one who doesn't pay attention to the front page, an armor set was recently featured on Mod Sanctuary that I figured some might enjoy if you share the Prince's religious leaning. Ritual Armor of Boethiah I'll readily delete/Edit-Erase this post if requested.
Deleted472477User
I love this mod :) My Dunmer lad Seras needed a fellow Dunmer to travel with, and Atvir suits him quite nicely. The above mudcrab comment reminds me of the following: Seras and atvir were outside near some water, and tried to fast travel. I got the "You cannot fast travel with enemies nearby" message popped up, and I had the following exchange in my mind: Atvir: Let's get out of here. Seras: Can't. There's enemies nearby. Atvir: Bugger. Maybe it's bandits? Seras: Or a bear... Atvir: Perhaps a worthy opponent, such as a Dremora? Seras: Or a dragon! Wait...there it is. It's a-- Atvir: --sodding mudcrab. which is exactly what it was :D I might eventually do a screenshot comic with this.

JanusForbeare
I just finished recording the Dunmer and Argonian intros (damn, my throat is sore). Most of what's left to do at this point is record and import Atvir's new banter/combat/conversational dialogue. I'm also considering going through his dialogue and adding relationship and empathy modifiers (they won't have an effect at this point, but if I can add them now, I can probably save you all having to start with a clean save - again - down the road). Whether or not I do that depends on how quickly I can get through the voicework, but I seem to be making good progress so far. Also, mysticentity, who is a huge fan of AD, has taken over as the designer of Atvir's gear. I thought I'd show you all her current concept for Atvir's armour. Personally, I think it looks outstanding. Atvir's Armour
nakakita
That armor looks wonderful. I especially like the tiny patch on the knee. Now, the question is, did Atvir mend it himself, or beg Suvaris to do it? And don't strain yourself. As awesome as the update will be, it's not worth hurting your throat over.
