justwannaddl
I am a big critic of a lot of things in Skyrim but I have to give Bethesda credit for adding in the Dead thrall spell. Never have I collected corpses in games the way I have in this game. My only problem is that I collect and collect but the corpses just keep on rotting away. I can only imagine at the horrific stench the places must have at this point. I've kept cadavers from Riften to Markarth but I'm always too busy to keep the rats and maggots away from them. If only I can stick them on a rack or in a box as decorations in my home.
Krawll
I've collected quite a few , i kept them in my house in Whiterun but every now and then , as i got in my home they were alive somehow and i had to kill them again . Needless to say that it leaves a big mess in the house. The last thing that hapenned to me which is something i still don't understand was after i installed the Wars in Skyrim II mod . I go to my house to find all the Draugr corpses alive plus a Dragon Priest. I wasn't surprised for finding the Draugr alive because i think it's normal for them to come back to life once the respawn timer is done but i never brought a single dragon priest in my house so that was kinda surprising . I stoped stacking up corpses in my house after that because i don't want my wife to get killed by a spell or an explosion of some kind. And one of the corpses i was keeping was a Draugr Death Overlord and he was realy powerfull. I had to use the More Powerful Necromancy mod to resurect that one . None of the other mods worked on him. So with him and the dragon priest to deal with, i actualy almost died .
TimF
I do not keep corpses, because they disappear or cause other inconvenience. Even placing a quest item in their inventory didn't help, So, I simply stick with a pair - since I can always simply change when I come across a more suitable thrall. justwannaddl
Such quaint antiquated notions. I thought after 200 years, such sentiments would have died out with the dissolution of the mages guild. Necromancy is no more evil than soul trapping for which virtually all enchantments rely on. And all those corpses smoking next to my fireplace deserved what they got. THat nobleman on the road was a snob and died of natural flaming familiar causes that took me a half hour to accomplish. And I am sure that corpse of the merchant on the side of the road was a skooma addict. edit: Anyone know how to stitch a head back on a corpse in Skyrim? One of my thralls got too enthusiastic on a few useful corpses. Better yet, a mod to raise headless corpses would be cool. Didn't see one on my last search though. Elec1
I reanimated one corpse if that counts. I might do it again sometime, but I actually prefer my atronachs and familiars.
wetwork
Got my destruction up really fast by smiting, raising then smiting again. Is Death Thrall a master spell? My D&D character is a Chaotic Evil Necromancer and I'd love to spread the rotting joy around Skyrim too!
justwannaddl
Yup. Master level cojuration. It is my favorite conjuration spell. I recommend using it on mages and named characters. Mages that used to be summoners are the best and the occasional bursts of intelligence the named ones seem to get makes them very collectable.
