Guest Guest_kate
 i am truely confused, i downloaded some race plugins for the game, and they were from trustable sites, ones linking off from the main site (i know they are corruptd or n e thing cus i have the same files for the game on a different comp). Anyway, i downloaded these files, and started the game, i was really shocked to find my character walking round inside a giant blue and yellow bubble, on closer look i saw it was a yellow blob with an exclmation mark inside it... could someone possibly explain what is going on, or is it just a way of the game saying i have a bad file... ThetaOrionis01
The yellow blobs are error markers - most likely the game can't find a .nif or a texture for the mod you're trying to run. Check if the mods come with a readme for further information, and check that all the files which may have come with the mod are in the right folders. ThetaOrionis01
The only thing I can suggest is to make a note of the file it can't find - should tell you in an error message when loading - locate the file, and move it to the correct folder. If you can't find the missing file - either in the plugin or on the cd (the plugin might have overwritten a gamefile) - you could try e-mailing the person who made the plugin. Good luck. Baphomet
Another possible, simple solution... Re-extract the files as you did before. I've had the problem you describe myself, and sometimes just re-installing the plug-in from the original source file fixes things. I guess a file get's skipped (??) during the extraction process or something, I don't really know, but this has worked for me on occasion.
Switch
yeah ive had problems with winrar and winace where it doesnt extract the files properly. try extracting them to the appropriate directories manually, hopefully that'll work ^_^
Baphomet
If you think the problem might lie with your compression utility, I'll make my usual plug for Zip Genius. See the pinned topic "How to Install MW Plug-ins" in the Plug-Ins Forum for the link, or just "google" it. Zip Genius has been a life saver for me when it comes to installing Plug-ins.
