quicknuss
Nexus is as much a part of the elder scrolls series as Bethesda is in my opinion I hope the Nexus team can integrate with the CK and launcher too. http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/media/videos/creation-kit-skyrim-workshop-preview/ I recognize a lot of the modders work from Oblivion in Skyrim gameplay. JanusForbeare
This has been well publicized for months... not many people here are happy about it, but the general consensus is that veteran players will stick to sites like the Nexus, while some newcomers may be suckered in by the shiny official packaging that comes with Steam. Edited for grammar. Edited February 2, 2012 by JanusForbeare
Syco21
He seems to be under the impression that CK only uploads to Steam and hopes that Nexus can be integrated as well so that he can continue to use Nexus for all his modding needs. He is, of course, incorrect. @OP: Bethesda has stated that the Steam integration is added functionality and that you can still upload mods to other sites, like Nexus, just as you have always done in the past. huntsman2310
You can still use the Nexus for everything, you don't have to be involved with the Steam workshop.
TheDarkPrince
*Le wild Steam Workshop appears* NEXUS, I CHOOSE YOU! Steam Workshop uses NEW STUFF ATTACK NEXUS uses VETERANS KNOW HOW TO MOD BETTER THAN THAT*It seems to be supereffective* Steam Workshop flee* TADADADAAAAAAADADADADADAAAAAAAAAA (More FFVIII music than Pokemon this time) XD
TheElderInfinity
Honestly, if someone were to upload to only one site, that would suck.
Ghogiel
Honestly, if someone were to upload to only one site, that would suck. That is the case now. Modders more than not upload to a single repository.
TheElderInfinity
Why? Steam Workshop is obviously going to be the most popular one since non-modders will look at it...Nexus wil obviously be the home for "sexy" mods no matter what, and all the other sites offer their own opportunities. BucMan55
The savvy folks who know whats up will still find their mods at Nexus. I think the Steam integration actually hurts the lesser populated sites more than this one. I also know you have a sizable portion of the PC playerbase that absolutely hate STEAM and the fact that it's tied in with Skyrim. And for most mods worth having, if they do choose only one upload, it will be nexus over workshop.
LittleRose
Though in all honesty, would it not be better to gather all the modders and all the Users in one place? Though I do not know what options there will be to search and censoring on Steams Workshop, and such things... But if we assume that they about equivalent to Nexus. Would it then not make sense for everyone to move to Steams Workshop, if one where to disregard loyalty issues??
