Halororor
I personally hate Avast. Whenever I try to disinfect a file with it it just says that it can't and I only get the option to either delete the infected file, leave it as it is or move it to the chest. But here's a nice site to read about virus's. www.viruslist.com. Sorry, can't make links. If anybody has the time or patience could you please PM me and tell me how to make links? :thanks:

Others will corrupt and overwrite part of the file, or even be itself the whole file... so, is easy to see they can't be just removed... the file itself need replacing. As isn't responsibility of the antivirus program it will prompt to delete or quarantine the infection. Another issue that prevent immediate deleting of infected files is where they are already active as protected process in memory. These need to be removed at the OS boot. The antivirus will prompt to do this next reboot. Indeed, Avast have a feature that create something as informations about sensitive files so it can recover even the normally unrecoverable infected files, "almost" all times. This feature is seldom used by most.
