Most reccomended mods now usually swamped with bugs.

Why are most of the best recommended mods on Nexus (eg: Most endorsed of all time) now so full of bugs that they are no longer usable? Would it be possible for Nexus to create a list of most popular mods that are usable, by eliminating all those with more than one bug over than a week old that's not yet being looked at? A great many bugs over a year old litter many long abandoned mods which to my mind should no longer be included in any list on your site. If something were done, it would save your users a great deal of time by not having to check out hundreds of mods individually when trying to find some that are still bug-free.

By that logic, Skyrim should never have been released.

Also, you seem to have a strange idea of what "abandoned" means.

No piece of software can ever be bug free short of "Hello World."

You should also take into account that users file false bugs all the time that are actually the result of their own errors and not a fault in the mods themselves.

No disrespect to you but what I have noticed most is that many brilliant mods that were working perfectly up to a major Windows 10 upgrade was introduced, no longer did so afterwards . Although most modders simply knuckled down to mend all those unexpected and essential alterations now required, when a second upgrade then came along requiring yet more work to be redone, it appeared to me that a fair number of those brilliant modders then got completely disheartened and just gave up. It's a great shame.

The main example of what 'abandoned' means to me is when I read several people saying about a particular mod that it seems to be abandoned. I have read these postings entered for quiet a few

I'm not really sure what the operating system has to do with it because it shouldn't matter. You also have to consider that not all mod authors are running Windows 10 yet. I'm certainly not, and likely won't be until I do my Ryzen 7 upgrade. So if my stuff for some reason goes belly up on Windows 10 (and I can't see how it would) I'd be unable to do anything about it.

a. Arthmoor is correct. There are almost ZERO mods that work under Win7 but won't under Win10. (At least, not if the game itself works properly under Win10.) Care to provide links to ones claimed to fall into this category?

b. As far as the Nexus is concerned, mod authors are under ZERO obligation to "maintain" their mods. They did the work and they posted the results as "Free to use... as-is." If a mod doesn't work for you, don't use it. And unless the original author gave specific permission allowing others to adapt or refine the work, don't. Just because an author doesn't care to respond doesn't mean it's OK to steal the work.

People often confuse finished with abandoned.
