Dark0ne
It's been a week since the CK/SW launched, where are you getting the 3 days figure from?

DeathByCactus
steam workshop got 2 million mod downloads in 3 days, i say steamworks is rather successful. Success is relative. They were basically garuanteed a few million downloads because Skyrim digital is steam distributed. Its a no-brainer, especially for people who are not into the modding scene or have never experienced the game without modifying it greatly. A real measurment of success will be in the coming months/later this year when modders make decisions as to whether or not they will continue to put up with the frustrations of the community and tools they have access to, as well as the consumer who is looking for a hassel free product. Personally, I find the Nexus Mod Manager far less confusing than Steam's system.
Gopher
One thing I don't like about Steam Workshop that is not community related is the privacy problem. The steam nickname you are using at any time is visible there, regardless of profile setting. For people only playing single player games it might not seem much but for people who play multiplayer games it can be an issue. It can get nasty out there and I don't want the blowback reaching my modding pages. And you cannot even start another account just for your mods, as you need to buy the game for that account. DrakeTheDragon
Actually it's not random, It has been determined that archived bsa's take lowest priority, followed by loose files, and then plugin bsa's in alphanumeric sorting order. http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1345724-important-bsas-and-you/In this case I stand corrected. I wasn't aware it changed from Oblivion to Skyrim, or has been deciphered already that is. While I don't know what the difference between archived and non-archived BSAs could possibly be, considering the BSA "is" an archive, (guess I should take a look into that thread you linked next occasion) it's a little weird that now plugins' BSAs override loose files, and even with alphanumeric sorting order for those, there's still no feasible way to get them into any priority you want, as if you "rename" a plugin (so its BSA changes its place in priority order), your savegames get into danger, as it's like deactivating a plugin and activating another one doing the same... or, again, it was at least that way in Oblivion back then. TaranTatsuuchi
@DrakeTheDragon 'Archived' as in added to the archive section of the ini file, like the game's 'vanilla' bsa's. At least for the use of archived in my post. Edited February 15, 2012 by TaranTatsuuchi
huntsman2310
I have to ask, is getting any mod on the workshop worth it? Because I tend to think the mod will run better when you yourself have either manually installed it or used the Nexus Mod Manager. I only went on there to get Cinematic Combat + and thats it. ScrollTron1c
Could it be that many modders stopped releasing mods here on nexus since the workshop is live?I'm running the NMM every day to check for updates, but since the workshop it's like dead for the few mods i'm using.
