ArmoredTroll
A Fallout 4 version of "isoku's" "Loot and Degradation" would be neat. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55677/?

jkruse05
This is a step toward that, but not full degradation https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17184/? and this adds breakable armor https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25259/? Neither is quite the same as having actual item condition and repair though, I'd love to see that plus the weapon jamming. Simonus18
I am quite shocked how people don't miss Weapon/Armor degredation. It's like not many people feel why FO was that great back in the days and so authentic. I like the idea creating something similar to "isoku's" mod. That would be a huge step forward. Valgardur
I can recommend this mod. Its not on Nexus, but on the official Bethesta mod-page. You have to download it in-game but it can be used with Nexus mod manager after download. Have tried it for a few hours and it works! Adds BOTH Weapon and Armor degrade. https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4057323

aurreth
Do y'all have any idea at all how long it takes a weapon to "degrade"? I've got a pistol here that was made in the 40's and it still works fine, with all original parts. AND I fire the wrong ammunition through it, because the original caliber is hard to come by. The .38 super I use in it is much hotter than the original 9mm Largo, and the thing is not "degrading" in any way. My stepfather traded an Aussie for it in Viet Nam, so it's not like it hasn't seen hard wartime use either. Keep it cleaned and oiled and the odds of you ever needing to repair a weapon, particularly a modern one, are slim to none.

Basically it says "the player is an idiot who does not perform basic maintenance on his equipment", and if that's the case there is no way the player would know how to repair something he/she does not know how to maintain. Armor degrades. The cover on kevlar gets torn, the straps get stretched, the velcro wears out, the buckles break. That doesn't include damage from combat. Weapons take years of constant use and bad maintenance to degrade. The time covered from start to finish of the game simply doesn't justify a need to repair it constantly.
