CursingNash19
I noticed this game doesn't have an explosion of original followers, merely reskins of the current ones. Is it harder to make original followers in this game? I'd like to see some more original followers.
H4RDC0R3V1B3Z
Most likely very time-consuming, given how much you would need to do to create a brand-new NPC companion. Especially seeing as the game has been out for ages and there is a distinct lack of companion mods. I'm sure llama could weigh-in with comments about how long the process is, if she notices this lol. Can't imagine fully quested and dialogued. =/
MLeonhardt
Having a voiced protagonist added a monumental amount of work to any mod that directly interacts with them.
pra
I'm not sure if I actually understood the opening post, but Tales From The Commonwealth adds several new followers, completely custom-voiced, and some even have quests
llamaRCA
It can take months to build a companion on the same level as the vanilla companions and it's a challenging amount of work in the CK for an inexperienced mod author. Skyrim basically had a template you could use for the basic follower which is why there are so many of them. In FO4 there is the vanilla system you can use, but because the vanillas are so complex and have so much dialogue, affinity quests, sometimes their own quests, etc it is probably daunting to new modders not only because it's a slog figuring how how to use the system, but then you have to build a tremendous amount of content to even hope to approach the level of the vanillas.
