VSRevan
I believe "not logged" downloads do not count as "unic".
LeddBate
I thought ANY download (whether "with manager" or "manual") counted. If I'm wrong, someone please explain the difference. I'm kinda curious now. On a related topic, if you know of an awesome mod that isn't getting the attention you think it deserves, talk about it here on the forums! Think it's worthy of review on youtube? Email some of the prominent reviewers out there with a link. They might agree and put it in one of their videos. By way of example, I've talked up Warzones numerous times (including Oldrim's edition.) See? I just did it again. (Disclosure: I beta-tested Warzones, so I do have a bias towards it for that reason as well.)
TheDungeonDweller
Not exactly the best example, when that mod took off pretty well on both editions - you didn't really need to say anything about it. Big mods like that which change the exterior in a big way will get noticed no problem. On the flipside, I recall the author of another big mod I wont mention, getting down about 'lack of endorsements/downloads' when at the time he already had 700+ and 40k downloads. So it's up to expectations as well, I guess. Edited June 14, 2017 by TheDungeonDweller
VSRevan
Yes, any download counted for "total downloads", but "unic downloads" - only one by player. Let's pretend that I'm simple gamer: I don't want to post/search here on the forum, I don't want to contact (and even watch) with those youtubers, I don't want fame and glory for a certain mod, but I do want simple additional option (not replacement) to find some underestimated works (because I'm sick already of "top 100 endorsed" for the last five years). TheDungeonDweller
Yeah I think unique downloads counts toward those that were logged in.
steve40
duplicate here for clarification:Ok, here you some info to understand what I mean:Total Character Makeover - 20,777 endorses and 381,679 unic downloads edndorses/unic downloads = ~0.054. So:Total Character Makeover ~5.4%RS Children ~6.2%Immersive Armors ~5.7%SFO ~5.5%RLO ~4.7%USSEP ~7.2%Ordinator ~6%CC's HQ Mines ~7%What is "CC's HQ Mines"? I had no idea of its existance until yesterday, but in the "quality" sorting option it would be above all most popular mods from the first page (except USSEP). Yes, maybe it wouldn't stay there long, but it would be visible. And I would notice and download it much earlier. Yeah, but if a new mod got 1 download and 1 endorsement, it would be 100% but it could be a really shitty mod.
VSRevan
It won't stay that long. Also it's easy to add customizable "endorsements threshold" (10, 50, 500, 5000 ect) for such case.
Ethreon
Regardless of the possibilities offered, at the end of the day if users don't bother to search those mods will remain unseen.
VSRevan
I don't look in the "most recent" section, but a lot of players do. It's enough for setting trend in the "%endorsed" section, which I would gladly browsed regularry. Edited June 14, 2017 by VSRevan
VSRevan
I'm not telling that "%endorsed" is the only way. I'm saying that there is a problem for new moders and new mods. I think "%endorsed" is only one way of improving the situation with minimum efforts.
