phantasyelementz
I sent you an email from that feature on your site, Slof, but I'll post here anyway. Thanks again for all your hard work! And I think part of the problem is that in most cultures, women aren't supposed to be sexual beings who like some occasional eye candy. You see it everywhere - in movies, on TV, in comics, whatever - that 99% of the time it's only the guys who are allowed to fantasize and the women are prudish by comparison. I don't know if this is some lingering mental inequality or what, but it's annoying, and makes the women who are willing to admit to their interest in men (oh horror of horrors) face misunderstanding and harassment. It takes brave souls like Slof to pave the way for the rest of us. Happy modding, AlienSlof!
buddah
LHammonds I just tried and you get an error if you try to rate: Error: Topic does not exist. So without the forum topic it appears no ratings are allowed. Buddah
Chesto
Oh man! First, I kill my hard drive. Then, when I finally scrounge a lappy to get back here what do I find?! Slof Gone! I cannot add much to all the positive things already said about Slof, other than I love her wit. As to the mouthy little oiks who dissed her, and dis others... NO MORE MISTER NICE GUY. I have, until now , just gone along thinking that everyone has 'broad shoulders', as I think I have. But then I've never put more of myself ' out there ' than my opinions, however addled. Putting what one loves to do and what one does best ' out there ' takes a lot of guts as well as generosity of spirit. There should be no need for OUR modders to be watching their backs, no matter how broad. My finger is definitely hovering over the 'report' button from now on. Mouthy little oiks... AROINT THEE! Get strong, Slof. See you back here, soonest, I hope.

MasterAub
Let me use this thread as an opportunity to thank her. I had gathered many of her mods and loved them... Today I just want to simply thank her for her work, dedication and creativity Miss AlienSlof, thank you
Kythrius
Looks like I'm not the only person who got flamed by the community. Not just AlienSlof getting flamed, but a lot of people who make mods have been recently been flamed out of the community. I hear Qarl got banned from the BGS forums. No idea what AlienSlof got flamed for, but it appears to be something about "not sharing the ideals of the community". I also got flamed in a similar manner(on the BGS forums) mainly because I put something in my signature there that said something like "Ask for decency and common sense in TES V, get flamed by the losers" or something along those lines. Quite a few role players couldn't stand how I didn't like immersion and realism, so they flamed me on the BGS forums. So I quit posting there and started a thread for my mod on TES. In case you are wondering, my philosophy looked like this: 1)Violence should be kept to a minimum. I only need to be able to tell the difference between my character hitting and missing. I'm NOT saying that Oblivion has to be turned into a comic, with swords replaced by wooden toy swords, hammers replaced by plastic bats, and bows and arrows replaced by foam darts. There only should be enough to tell that your character is fighting. Do not have pieces of your opponents flying across the screen as that's just disgusting to the user and disrespectful to your video card that now has to work overtime. 2)Roleplaying/immersion are not necessary. They just get in the way of strategy. 3) You do not have to "earn" anything. This is your environment running on your computer. Use the console like it's your environment. The user is entitled to add 50000 gold to his character or use the tgm command in the console without being ostracized by the community/ 4) All content should be kept clean. If something cannot be shown in a movie without getting an R rating, it should not be in a game. ------------------------------ That's about what I got flamed for. A lot of people don't like my principles, so I got flamed. It appears that AlienSlof had principles different from what's accepted, but different in another way. Still, the BGS community doesn't tolerate anyone who doesn't conform to their views. Funny that you should mention that AlienSlof "removed her mods from the download sites" because that's what I did when I got flamed on the BGS forums. For some reason I have gotten more friendly feedback here than on the BGS forums. <downloads Martigen's Monster Mod before Martigen gets banned from the hostile BGS forums><downloads DarNified UI before DarN gets banned from the hostile BGS forums>
LHammonds
As to the mouthy little oiks who dissed her, and dis others... NO MORE MISTER NICE GUY. I have, until now , just gone along thinking that everyone has 'broad shoulders', as I think I have....My finger is definitely hovering over the 'report' button from now on.I hope many more members here at TESNexus and other sites will do the same. To be silent only adds to the problem. Thanks. LHammonds EDIT: Sarya, there are many people that just lurk. We need more people like Chesto to get involved and click the report button...they can still remain in the shadows without ever posting a single comment but still issue reports. ;)
Sarya
Nah, my finger never hesitated hitting it. But finding all flame in comments may be quite a difficult thing.
Tamujiin
Kythrius, I will be glad to say your philosophy is not mine, but you are welcome by me to share your opinion, as i am sure many more of the mature members here feel. Quit one to Lhammonds comment. As you probably know or have stated previously, 2 problems with the report button from a members point of view. 1. alot of people wont do it because ( here anyway ) we care about not stressing the moderators out and filling there time with deleting or fixing bad comments. 2. the obvious someone else probably already reported it. The great thing here is, i havent really noticed any bad comments, all i see id that yellow lettering, saying buddah insta-ban, or lhammonds was here........ So with that being said, this is the first forum i have been to i truly feel welcome, and no matter how bad or stupid my topic could be, i can feel safe saying what i have to say. Thats why we should all salut! the great and wise Dark0ne and his oh so infinitely wise moderators............
worm82075
2. the obvious someone else probably already reported it. No one has to guess on that one, observe, as I have reported this post and you can see evidence of this by the altered appearance of the report button. Edit: I like that sig Sarya
