KingNarwhale
I would like to get skyrim legendary edition, but steam does not sell it anymore so I would have to buy each dlc seperately. So I was wondering if normal Skyrim is worth the $25 extra over special edition.
Boombro
Wait for sales and oldrim then is very cheap. Each dlc is like 5 bucks. SSE runs better (machines may vary. but most gained fps and less loading times.) The only clear difference is the modding pool. SSE still has a very nice mod pool with more to come. I think it better for those who did not play skyrim to get SSE since it cheaper, runs better, has come cool add ons and pretty much all of the mods are up to date. TheDungeonDweller
Oldrim has the edge that you don't have to get all the DLCs. Some people still make mods that don't depend on the DLCs. Unfortunately, you need all three if you want the USKP. SE forces all three on you so..
Olligarchy
As someone playing on a laptop I've noticed my Asus can run Oldrim, but not SSE, despite them looking pretty much the same. Of course SSE supposedly is better for higher end machines, but I wound up going with Oldrim for the greater amount of mods and extra content. steamteck
Until we have a SSE Skse. I'm sticking with Oldrim. maybe for along time after. Most of themods i love or approximations just aren't on SSE yet.
Andarus2
Keysellers have the LE always for like 5$ and its the way superior Game unless you want to play basically Vanilla.
Kazuya482
You're better off with classic for serious modding.
