6 YEARS PASSED AND STILL I CANT PLAY WITHOUT CTD!

First of all, i was stopped play this game few months ago because of the neverending CTD problems. Now i have a good pc with 8gb ram ie-6600 cpu and gtx 1070. I have decided to re-install Skyrim.

This time i have decided to use Mod Organizer instead of Nexus Mod Manager.

 

PC: IE-6600 CPU | 8GB Ram | ASUS GTX-1070

OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit

Skyrim: Legendary Edition

 

How i get CTD?

 

I made coffee to myself because since 5 days i was trying to install new mods and trying to learn mod organizer. I have carefully installed all mods with their patches (tell me if you see missing patches) and came to home after work. I said myself to "finally at least i hope i can play this game without ctd" and created character

 

--- Here is what happened ---

 

I have created orc and chose "i was attacked and left to dead" starting. One of the options of Live Another Life.

Game started, i find myself on solstheim and i have started to run for the find town. After 2 minutes I GET CTD.

Hi, appears your playing Classic, SE is the way to go you would need to bash your computer with a hammer to crash with SE. What i mean is this Skyrim Oldrim is famous for random crashes, their is no solution. But SE I have to say is far better, its made to accommodate Mods. I have never crashed if my load order is correct etc, good luck friend.. :smile:

But you can't use all of your current mods in Oldrim either so what's the problem?

 

Maybe you should just stop using all these mods you don't know how to use/combine them properly.

 

Anyway I thought you quit playing because your beloved bank mod wasn't compatible with something else.

One question, you installed skyrim, immediately proceeded to install a pretty damn long list of mods with over a hundred esps and only once all were installed you ran the game and it crashed? If so, Im not surprised at all, and punching walls is not going to fix it. Nor will begging here, you expect someone is going to come up with "your 342th mod conflicts with your 847th", BANG! problem solved, stable game? Truly unlikely, not because people are jerks that know it and are not telling you. But because, he solution is probably not that simple, your issue is probably multifactorial, and its unlikely someone is actually going to analyze your mod list to that level.

 

Test it incrementally, add the essentials, play it for a decent amount of time to actually test how stable it is. Read the instructions, consider the patches you need, consider the impact/stability of the individual mods, pay attention to load order instructions... And then start adding more either one by one or small chunks and play to see when it becomes so unstable as to crash in the first two minutes, when it does, uninstall the last chunk. This way you will actually find which mod/s are responsible and how many mods are too many. To find out if its your system, monitor how its doing while playing, vram usage etc.

Did you clean the Bethesda .esm's (excluding Skyrim.esm) with TES5Edit? (Note Dawnguard must be cleaned twice.)

Did you optimise your .ini files with BethINI?

Did you use LOOT?

Looks like you aren't using Bug Fixes

Ensure you're using the most up-to-date GPU drivers

Are you sure you're not missing an master file - LOOT should tell you this.

Not really accurate but ok.... Oldrim as people like to call it works just fine my current load order I have is 208 mods and 243 plugins and no CTD perhaps learning about how to run mod is the answer. SE is ok but it is not the holy grail nor is loot learning how to run mods is the best advice take time and learn you will thank me later then you can take full advantage of 50,000 plus mods here who knows how many on other forum.

This is where to start if you really want to learn.

Yes. And i have realized it was gave me dirt errors after the first run. I was shocked and i have cleaned them.

Thank you for your help but i am sure (at least i tought) i have already patched my mods and removed the mods that changing same things. I have created this post maybe someone realizes "hey you are using x and y mods they can cause ctd"

This is an obvious question but did you revert Skyrim to Vanilla so that there were no traces of your old mods/install left?

 

Are you running a mod that requires: PapyrusUtil-Modders Scripting Utility Functions

 

What's in your Crash Fixes log, btw?

 

Why are you using Safety Load if you have the memory patch? Sheson's MP takes care of the ILS issue.

 

Are you using ENBoost?

 

You're using Frostfall but not Campfire?

I haven't reverted but i said i have "completely" removed "everything" and downloaded "all" my old mods. Not even used old files. I wanted to install "everything together"

 

People say papyrus is totally useless. I remember posts of the many users said "papyrus is NOT for the detect CTD's"

 

Crash Fixes i was remember my previous install. I was detected some nif files and sound fixes but this time it is empty.

 

I dont know about Safety Load and Memory Patch. They can be cause ctd ?

 

ENBoost yesterday i have replaced it with my enblocal.ini but it disabled my enb and i have removed it. And i don't know why it disabled to use my enb.

 

Yes i am using Forstfall but old version. It doesn't require campfire. I don't like the new version because my rules already makes my game hardcore + immersive and new Frostfall provides too many things. I was just need simple camping.

 

Ok then i will try to Bug Fixes and i will report.
