AleCuneo
So I went to open Skyrim after playing intensely last night without any problems and Steam informed me an update was installing. When it finished the game would not start. Has anyone else experienced this and as I have no backup, is there any solution other than to reinstall the game and start over from scratch? Zanderat
What was the update for?
TheVampireDante
Might be Creation Club related, not sure. Fallout 4 just got an update as well by the looks of things.
AleCuneo
What was the update for?I have no idea. There's no info available as far as I'm aware. I should be a little more clear, however. The starting screen opens and I hit Play. I am then offered the option to Continue last game or Load a previous game or Start a new game. No matter what I select I get an instant CTD. I've just been on Steam Community and it appears I'm not alone. Bethesda have broken the game and SKSE64 no longer works either (I don't have it anyway so it's not down to that). wolfsilverwind
I would say that this is bad business policy on Bethesda's part, but they clearly don't care. I love the fact that I pay full price for a product only to have it "fixed" ie. BROKEN by its creator repeatedly while it is in my possession. Just awesome, par for course for this crap they are selling us--they piss on us and call it rain, whatever!

ChaoSMoonEdge
So what do we do now. I use SKSE I was playing the game just a few hours ago the night before. Now I can't even open the game because SKSE won't let me because of that damn update. Is there a way to revert the game to a previous update? Anything? This is just bullsh*t to be honest. Deleted3897072User
It's updated to 1.5.16 I can launch it, but SKSE64 2.0.4 doesn't run with it.
