Bleh I got really into NWN2 at one point, but I HATED the magic system. If I actually thought Id play it Id hop on this sale, but it would likely just sit there on my HDD for years.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone else find it kind of funny that they posted Nexus mod links on Bethblog earlier? Not pointing it out as a jab at the Workshop or anything, just that I think its pretty cool of them to not completely ignore modding sites now that they have their own.

Well, as to the "DOES NOT WORK ON x64 SYSTEMS" thing they tell you about...it seems that it still does.

I'm running Windows 7 x64, and just downloaded the entire package. The installation process works fine, up until the very, very end. Then it tells you that it cannot run on x64 systems and that it will now exit the setup process. However, it still installed the games fine and NWN1 will load just fine for me (although it does cause my desktop to act as if it has epilepsy while it's loading). I can get through character creation in NWN1 just fine.

As for NWN2, I tried to to launch it from the "Games" section of Windows, and it had a few issues...It immediately loads one of the expansions instead of the main game, and when it does this the games loading screen is centered fine, but the active area (where your cursor can go) seems to be the same size only lower on the screen. This meant that I had to put my cursor on the bottom of my screen to highlight the buttons in the center of the screen. Needless to say I forced myself out of that instance and tried it a different way. I tried to load it via the main launcher in the install folder, this seemed to work much better and I was able to adjust graphics options and load the game. It still preloaded one of the DLC's for some reason, but since the main menu was no longer distorted I was able to select the main campaign and was then able to enter and pass through character creation just fine.

So that being said, it does seem to work fine on Win7 x64 however, that may just be a lucky occurrence on my laptop. Still, if you're running Win7 x64 I would say buy at your own risk, but it does work fine for me right now.

Hope this helped!

If you have both expansions of NWN2 installed, the main menu and music are changed to the Storm of Zehir theme. That's why I have a mod to change it back to the original.. ;)

"System Requirements

!!! WILL NOT WORK ON 64-BIT OS !!!"

o_O

NWN2 runs fine on my Win7/64-bit rig. Just started a new Campaign using the IWD mod.

Actually loads areas a lot faster than on my old machine!

YAY i got it! just £5 so cool, that's 75% price of a bucket of KFC here.

I'll keep monitoring that site for more deals like that.

I'm designating one of my 16gb flashdrives solely for keeping this NWN collection on it.

Myself, I grabbed a copy of NWN2 Platinum together with a copy of Civilization V last weekend, and both games run fine on Windows 7 x64. Now finally I have the incentive to play NWN2 to the end.
