The following is not to make you think Google is not doing what you are discussing. It is to inform you that I found "a way to load webpages text" that I did not know about before.

Point of interest: The pages I usually visited are loaded with little advertisements. Links which need Adobe Flash Player, YouTube, etc.. When the ISP speed drops below 60 kbps the pages do load, but all I see is a white blank page for many seconds to many minutes, or (even though the little arrow that swims counter clockwise shows it is loaded) nothing but a white sheet stares back at me forever.

While having that problem occur, one day 3 days ago, I discovered Windows 10 Edge has a little icon on the dash up above that switches the page to Text Only. I was surprised to get a page that was stalled to load the Text. I am happy to report, or unhappy depending on the speed of the service, text works on Windows 10 Edge occasionally; even at 14 kbps.

I've got 15GB before my modem router is switched from 4G LTE to 3G LTE. The modem router doesn't do well in 3G LTE I don't think it was built for 4G LTE either. I have a couple of internal modems in the collection of my past computer builds that have 200, 300, 1200 BAUD that could handle the slow service I have been getting lately after I used up my GBytes. I think I might even have a 26.0 kbps, 36.6 kbps, and a 56.6 kbps among them.

When my 15 GB is gone I see speeds from under 600 Kbps. The sign in, pop up window, for forums.nexusmods did not load immediately once. It took a couple of minutes. I used Fast dot com to test the speed and saw I was getting less speed than my old 26.0 Kbps. I threw a fit when I realized the plan the general public is saddled with is about as realistic as the idea there is such a thing, the big business selling the ISP packages, called; "net neutrality".

I've found I can get speeds up to 100 mph on some portions of the freeway when driving, but the signs with the highest allowable speeds it 80 mph here. Why am I telling you this. Because walking from store to store along sidewalks and inside malls is snail speed, yes, it isn't necessary to go any faster along that transit to get where I want to go to get what I need. If I already know what I want it saves me a lot of walking.

Networks, bulletin board systems, were for (the reasons I recall we were introduced to them) was for scholastic information exchanges. HAM Radio Operators were already using similar methods. They were playing chess with others too on HAM Radios.

About speeds with the new packages from ISP's. Just three days ago I was completely out of GB 4G LTE service Bytes and had several apps patched routinely reaching a maximum of 22 GB which is 7 GB passed my limit. I ran a search for several annoying questions that came from memories of my hampered youth. Twenty minutes after I did, BING, all those questions I was not able to get a speed faster than 14.0 Kbps.

Then the ISP service stopped altogether for the rest of the afternoon until the company's tech services checked out why my service was dead.

Pagafyr, where on Earth are you? I haven't seen these numbers in network bandwidth discussions since 1983.

Midwest and Central Montana.

The other day I was explaining to the tech assistant that I could get out the dusty old computer components and build a daughter card with an LAN jack so they would work on the newer motherboard. I discovered I was talking to a person who knows what I was talking about.

I mentioned that I discovered the Modem they sold me was created back in 1999. Listed as only capable of up to 50 Mbps Downloads and 30 Mbps Uploads. I found games in the port forwarding bank list that dated the Modem's age. I cleared them all out and got speeds up to 40 Mbps on Average when I had 4G LTE.

I was downloading an update for an MMO when I had purchased a 60 GB package. The games server uploaded the downloaded patch, 6 GB or more, to my computer at 117 Mbps in about twenty or so seconds. I discovered that the 10/100 LAN in my DELL XPS 8900 I installed a GeForce 1080 videocard into handled more than 100 Mbps. The package was downloaded quicker than I had ever seen before. Somebody is throttling the chicken before cutting its head off after I use up the 15 GB allowance.

When I was talking to the tech service I was wondering outloud if a slower card would be able to download without the connection being dropped or completely lost, because the slower cards would handle the packets better. I think I worried the tech at the ISP because I might probably get peak performance from the slower cards, smoother downloads, and all because the older internal modem cards work better at those speeds after the 4G LTE drops off to 3G LTE and below 600 Kbps and slower as the prioritizing and throttling occurs.

The tones in the techs voice suggested the person was uncomfortable with what I might accomplish with my little breadboard and home soldering equipment. I was told that the reason for my accounts variation was because they have me on a Grampas status.

I tried to humor the person, "I don't get as slow as the company's service does so they better upgrade it to a Super Grampas Status."

Welcome to post-net neutrality.

1984 was only off twenty or thirty years.

I've got some popcorn! You want to rent the movie? That was some really hair raising stuff. Right along the same lines a Kurt Vonnegut. Whose words say, "All this happened before, more or less."

Oh! Do you mean twenty or thirty years before 1984 was published or after?

We've been well beyond Orwell since Google were given the legal green light by our federal government to manipulate their search results. As a private company they have the right to return whatever results they wish, not in the face of effective monopoly control over the world's internet searches. By their own numbers they now control 2/3 of all searches worldwide, the actual number if you ask any random 10 people on the street is in excess of 90%. The real and actual problem is the current collapsed state of our federal government.

The matter of Google is not the problem, for Google has a greater problem. Their problem is colonizing Mars. Their real condition has to do with getting enough resources to accomplish their goal.

Reestablishing a state of government by our natures of our nation's people's common sense and rules of conduct. Ideas have begun to rise from the root of common sense. We may be insightful enough to bring into this a beginning. The last time I was among 50+ people in the dormitory for the military we created the Vietnam Veterans Co-op in 1973 via study and practice until we understood the workings of the government in all facets. None of us were officially voted in during the exercises. The purpose was to get a government approval for the creation of the Vietnam Veterans Co-op.

Each of the people in our dorm took the seats of governing, President, Vice Pres., Secretary Treasurer, Judge Advocate, Surgeon General. We learned by imitation via the advisements and procedures through the assistance of all the scholastic course and scholars advice how best to prepare and conduct our co-op. After we examined and practiced the stations of each position we provided the U. S. Government with documented proof we could sustain our new co-op. Once we gained the approval we then had to start by finding the best of our group who would be voted for to take the seats of our Pres, Vice Pres., etc..

Scholarly examination is the only way to reform and/or create a stronger government.

To do so we must chose a group and begin.

Scientific scholars?

Businessmen and woman?

Which wolf to feed?

The U. S. A..

Government: The root of all evil.

Our government needs a serious overhaul. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon.

Then is it possible that we all share the same goal our forefathers did. To build again, from all the other forms of government with our eyes open so that we see what can be gathered, constructed from the past experiences of theirs and ours.

What part to start with?

IMO it's a process. The sooner our federal government sells our free speech and other constitutional rights to their corporate sponsors, the sooner 300+ million free Americans can respond.

Suggestions?!
