Hallodria
I see the terrible new design is forced on all users now, including those who deliberately chose to use the old layout for as long as possible. So I would like to know how I can make "Hot Mods", which is wasting almost half the page with zero useful information, go away when I want to browse only the recently updated files. Niborino9409
I don't think you can. You'll get used to the design after a while. It's just overwhelming at first because it's not what we are used to browsing. Edited November 23, 2017 by Niborino9409
Ethreon
The same way you could make hot mods that took half the page with useless (?) information - no way.
gromulos
I hate it and personally think the USER should be able to choose the old layout when they want to. The new layout is sluggish, uses more memory, and basically just a huge cluster F BOMB IMO
Rabbit1251
I'm quickly becoming used to it and I find that many of it's functions to be eminently superior to the old. Perhaps too many pop-ups and scroll-downs. To each his own. The Rabbit
Hallodria
Thanks for your input, folks. Meanwhile I found an answer to my own question. By visiting (and bookmarking) www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/updated/? one can access the recently updated mods with thumbnails but without Hot Mods. wootersl
I am also in agreement that the new site design is large, clunky and painful. Why do people need to fix whats not broken?

Hallodria
OP - you didn't answer your question, as the answer to that remains the same - you cannot remove hot files from the main page. Fair enough. It's not a solution then - but a workaround.
Jeir
You could try a browser plugin to shrink the pointlessly huge images and reorganise things (the only thing the plugins haven't done yet is removing the images and game name from the tracking centre). Or, put 'old.' at the front of the url, as Dark0ne said to in his post, to get the old site back for as long as it's available (e.g. 'old.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition').
