BlackRampage
Well, unless you're planning on making the snow about as dense as bath-foam it shouldn't even realistically be possible to "wade" through it at all. Packs of snow like like are usually even quite dense. Of course, it is just a fantasy game so you should be able to make it whichever way you want. I must admit that the effect would be nice. TuskandInk
I'm just glad it's still going forward. Whatever your decision (snow is snow), all of Issgard still appears to be very well thought out. So to me it suggests it will be so fun and immersive, we might not notice details like this.

PrometheusTS
Just another small update picture of what I am working on .... Castle wall elements like upper and lower battlements, brattices, tower types, stairs, curves, gates etc etc .... several modular pieces all snapping seamlessy and evenly with each other for a lot of different combinations possibilities .... Then the new grassland on bottom . http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/7594/70hu.jpg Edited October 23, 2013 by PROMETHEUS_ts
Kraeten
Superb stuff. I definitely like the style you're going for. Reminds me of old Norman castles. Which is to say it's more utilitarian in design than anything else. Thanks for sharing this latest screenshot with us!
PrometheusTS
Thanks , as said I am inspiring from Italian norman kingdom architecture. The idea is that those nords of Issgard are an evolution of the vikingish style , s normans were as well in RL.The island though is divided among evoluted , traditional and primitive nordic societies, so there are also more vikingish huts villages like the ones I showcased befoure.I am trying to give though a morge unique feel.... The use of this caslte architecture will only be for : Varheim Culture civilized the capital city , with dominance of rounded shapes and towers and ancient subsiding nord architectures. Brynnvik Culture civilized The second major portual city , with more dominant squares and straight and rampant forms for the castle. Kaltegard Culture civilized The quintessence of a castle using all stuff , possibly located in the far northern area and covered in snow. Vindheim Culture civilized The other more modern civilized city of vindheim is instead using a mixture of traditional homes and rampant bridges as is built on a side of a mountain precipe. Sker Culture barbarian Is the very traditional nordic barbarian village , with stone structures like the mounds , and a huge rock palace carved . Falls Culture barbarian If I will be able to make it this village will be based om the concept art unused of skyrim , so basically a more traditional primitiveish village build in and under a waterfall complex stream Husvalur Culture barbarian The village should be built inside a huge cave and carved inside st lactites and stalagmites connected with bone linked bridges. Duthil Culture barbarian The typical hillfort, surrounded by a palizade and roundish huts similar to a vikingish primeval tow or a celtic hillfort. Village Vaarg Culture primitive nomad This is the issgard ice pack shifting village using dog pulled sleds as mediums of movement and pelt domes as homes, they also herd domestic wolly rhinos, they culture is similar to a mix of vikingish , inuit and mongols.
