Yeah, I have one:

I'm going to go to the opening race at the new Austin track, I'm going to fall asleep in the first laps. I'm going to take lots of pictures. When I get home, I'm going to upload them to my website then brag to my best friend who LOVES F1 but has never had the opportunity to see a race live. I'm going to talk all about how booooring the race was and rub it in. Then he's going to make me regret it. ;D

Mercedes' form has been massive thus far, I'm amazed-and stoked.

My pick would be for a McLaren VS Red Bull year again, but the exciting part is that we've got so many good wildcards, like Lotus/Renault and Merc.

Kimi for the WIN! No..not really but he is my favorite driver of all time. Totally got screwed over with the soft compound tires not getting on.

Personally I don't think Hamilton can produce if his car is not up to par and he doesn't start well so we will see this weekend and see how much his personal life weighs on him this year. Ferrari seems well out of sink so far but its early yet.

I always like Buttons and the Red Bulls are fun to watch.

I have been to 2 F1 races, the last 2 at Indy. I had much more fun than I expected. Also the last one all the drivers got interviewed by Speed so I got to see many of them up close and personal.

So.....yah F1 and boo NASCAR (which because I live in the US below the mason-Dixon Line is EVERYWHERE!)

Well, that was a bloody good race! most fun I've had watching F1 in years.

Button buggered off up front... that McLaren was even more dominant than the Red Bull RB7 last year, I haven't seen that sort of total, unstoppable annihilation for a fair while, it was nice to see it in the form of a team I've been barracking for since I was 8.

The real showstoppers for me though were Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado: Perez' racing was as spectacular as it was impressive, holding off some of the biggest names to score a strong finish, and Maldonado-up until his spectacular and ignoble last-lap demise, was battling wheel to wheel with Fernando Alonso, if you saw Williams last year you wouldn't think that was even possible! Merc were a bit of a disapointment if I'm honest, they had none of the pace they showed in qualifying, and neither of their cars even got to cross the line. For me though, the grandstand moments were A that pass Vettel did right at the begining around the outside, and B that crazy pass Di Resta pulled off about two feet from the finish. F1 is back, and it's looking like it'll be a mighty year.

Linspuppy-I agree, Kimi is probably my favorite current driver(most of my favorites no longer race because they're either too old, or dead, or both) He just doesn't give a stuff about the celebrity side of things, he's not a glamourpants like Button or Hamilton, or a party animal like Vettel.

I feel very sorry for Maldonado, that was one hell of a drive to get that car up there. This looks like it might be a good season, McLaren seem to have finally caught and maybe passed Red Bull in terms of performance, we won't know for sure until we see them on some of the more technical circuits but its looking promising.

Oh I think he parties plenty....but he likes to win more. I think if he can get a decently reliable vehicle he will be getting some points and maybe even a podium. I remember watching him like the year or so before he got his Championship coming from almost dead last to win the Japanese Grand Prix (I think.) I remember it was like on at 2am EST and I watched the entire thing like pounding my husband in the head while he was trying to sleep. He was still in the Mclaren then.

Looks like Button has it all sewn up. <groan>

@jim_uk

I bet you watched it on Sky :facepalm:

Like hell, I won't put money in Murdochs pocket. Motorised satellite systems FTW. :thumbsup:
