Managing overwrites

So, since we are unable to manually set the mod order as some are used to coming from MO/MO2, what is the best course of action here?

Will I be breaking things if i go deleting or renaming/disabling (file.filextension.disabled like MO does), or will that work just fine?

I personally love being able to make tiny changes like swapping one single texture over another, but it is no dealbreaker, would just be nice if I could.

so i cant figure out for the life of me how in the hell to get DEF UI, Hud framework, and Valdiclies item sorting to play nice nothing is working i have a love/hate relationship with vortex at this point please some one help this newb

Install in this order. Hud Framework, then DEF UI, and then Valdicles item sorting (or VIS for short). in the DEF UI install make sure you check "already have an xml file" (I think thats it), then when installing VIS make sure you do DEF UI compatibility option.

You have to navigate to the Fallout 4\Data\Interface folder and run the "Autopatcher.jar" so the hudmenu gets updated with HudFramework
