Hey, so I'm done choosing a username, when do I get to enter it?

so 5 years ago, the site prompted me to think of a username. i told it i was done choosing a username but i haven't had any prompts to set it in the 5 years following. can anyone help me with this issue please?

You set your username already. That's what making an account does, among others.

I refuse to accept that somebody can be that .. uhm less ressourcefull in the upper yard. So it must be a trollpost.

listen, i was asked to choose a username. but not set one. all i'm asking is to set the username i chose. this doesn't have to be a 5 year process

You obivously wrote into the field for the username that you are done choosing one? Thats like to write "ok i found the letter i wrote it onto" into a password field of your favorite forums login window. Well good luck.

Your username is "DoneChoosingAUsername". It cannot be changed. You create your username during the initial sign up process, there are no additional steps. There is no difference between "choosing" and "setting" a username.

I can understand the wish to change that name, for starwars the old repuplic i ended with "wasweisdennich" after i tried dozen of other stupid names after i had tried dozen of less stupid names after i had tried some cool names.. and finaly at release as i really loved the game i asked to change my account name but it wasnt possible..

 

But why now, five years after creation?

the account creation dialogue was poorly worded back then, probably still is, so i memed it and now i'm the memed one
