The Titanic was a real ship!

I'm sorry, but not knowing about the Titanic just goes a bit beyond not simply listening in class. If you don't know about the most well known ship in the world, where have you been all your life? Probably hanging with your 'bras' while wearing a straight cap, listening to Soulja Boy and telling everyone how 'different' you are from the rest of humans.

I found your post to be really funny  .

It's Twitter and Facebook. What else do you expect from Twitter and Facebook?

Social Networking sites, full of retarded teenagers and pre-teens that don't know how to do anything but milk virtual cows and tell strangers that they're eating cheese right now. Some of the people on Facebook don't even know how to socialise IRL. I think Facebook is pretty much useless as long as you have a phone to text and call people with and as long as you are physically able to step outside and wander around town with your friends.

A brief and accurate description, no LOLs or ROFLs in the post, no typos and a good choice of words. You deserve a kudo for giving the world hope that the human race can still be saved.

And I'm honestly surprised that there are people thinking Titanic was not a real ship. I wasn't a very good student (went to school for 11 years, spent half of that time in a coffee shop across the street) but I know a great deal about historical events, the sinking of Titanic included.

I may have just lost hope in humanity  . (I am hoping all those people were just joking)

I lost hope a long time ago, the human race going backwards. Here's a fine example http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/6507969/Adolf-Hitler-was-a-German-football-coach-say-one-in-20-children.html

And you sound exactly like the old people of ten years ago talking about texting.

That is pretty sad. It really isn't the kids fault either (except for their lack of interest). It is strange to think that people can be so oblivious to the past. I remember when I was young(er) most of my reading material was non-fiction books about dinosaurs and ancient civilizations (I wanted to be either a paleontologist or an archeologist  ).

I find things like this happen because of the 'school is boring' attitude. I am not really sure where along the road this was picked up but its a shame. Being able to addend school for free from a young age is a privilege. At my college I see people texting on their phones during class and I cant help but think 'why are you doing that? You are screening out relevant material which relates to your future field of employment'. Seems silly that people would pay for class than ignore what is going on. I have strayed a bit off topic but oh well  .

I don't think it's evil or anything, I just find it extremely pointless.

They didn't think it was evil, just a waste of time and money. Why text when you can call? Saves time and money!

Here's the difference: I'm not old and I tried Facebook and it just seemed pointless to me. Now go back to your hole and come out when you find where I said the word "waste" or the word "money". I might have said the word "time" but not when I was talking about Facebook. I love how you are acting like I'm really old and that you're a teenager that I'm ranting to about how things in my days were great and how new things are bad. I bet you that I'm younger than you.
