JimboUK
It's Twitter and Facebook. What else do you expect from Twitter and Facebook?Social Networking sites, full of retarded teenagers and pre-teens that don't know how to do anything but milk virtual cows and tell strangers that they're eating cheese right now. Some of the people on Facebook don't even know how to socialise IRL. I think Facebook is pretty much useless as long as you have a phone to text and call people with and as long as you are physically able to step outside and wander around town with your friends. And you sound exactly like the old people of ten years ago talking about texting.I don't think it's evil or anything, I just find it extremely pointless. Facebook and Twitter are only as good as the people you interact with. If you follow a bunch of morons on Twitter then your timeline will be full of moronic tweets, follow intelligent people and things greatly improve. Twitter isn't just a kids thing either, it's hugely popular with people in their middle age. They didn't think it was evil, just a waste of time and money. Why text when you can call? Saves time and money! Calling 1000+ people would take a lot of time and cost quite a bit.

Facebook messages are the same as Blackberry texts. Tell me a couple of things that makes Facebook useful and we'll see if I can't counter them. I never said texts were bad in any way.BTW, we should turn this into a three way PM or something, we went is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off-topic. Deleted472477User
I don't want to live on this planet anymore. I have to wonder what else people aren't learning in school from at least 1990s on.

RitualBlack
What is so important about the Titanic? The titanic death toll was around half that of the Sept. 11 attack so needless to say it was a pretty significant event in history and probably the most widely known ship related disaster. Syco21
There is no importance. It sunk, a bunch of people died and a lot of people know about it today. None proves importance and the claim about it being the well know. Well, there is the Hindenburg and also Pearl Harbor. The sinking of the Lusitania is far more historically significaNt than the Titanic. But how many here know what the Lusitania is without using Google? RitualBlack
Yes, all of the events you have listed are important parts of history. Why do they render a tragedy known to most of the world and a large scale loss of life unimportant?

Halororor
Yes, all of the events you have listed are important parts of history. Why do they render a tragedy known to most of the world and a large scale loss of life unimportant? Precisely. Besides, the Titanic was considered important and widely publicized enough that they even made a movie for it. Imagine that. :P
