Login error : Cannot reach the Nexus login server

Hello everyone,

I'm using NMM for many years now, and it always worked. But about 1 or 2 years ago I had a problem : when I try to connect to NMM (to NMM launcher, not to the website) I have this message: Login error : Cannot reach the Nexus login server.

So I'm not able anymore to connect to NMM and to download mods... I wanted to go back to NMM and I thought it may be solved, but the problem is still here.

I put the screenshot of exactly what is happening.

Does somebody know what I should do to fix that ? Thanks a lot !

The answer is in the question. Unable to connect to the Nexus servers.

You don't "connect to NMM". NMM aka Nexus Mod Manager is a program installed on your computer to, hey!, manage your mods. You open it through its exe or a shortcut to it. Only when downloading a mod or updating mod data does Nexus Mod Manager connect to the Nexus servers. If that doesn't work and you two seem to be the only ones, then you'll need to check connectivity at your end. Maybe it's as simple as your firewall (or the firewall of a router) blocking NMM from getting on the net.

You'll need to update NMM to at least version 0.65.1 (version 0.65.0 has a bug) because European regulations have enforced the use of HTTPS. Versions of NMM prior to v0.65.0 still use HTTP and will no longer be able to connect to the Nexus servers as of 8 May 2018.

You can find the latest NMM releases on GitHUB, roundabout here...

Having the same issue. There's nothing logical to it as one minute it works, the next it doesn't let you log in. Note that all firewalls are turned OFF completely.

I switched to manually downloading the mods, that appears to work.
