Need some major help.....

Well, it's been around a month since I got shot, and I'm in Iraq for another 6 months because "the government said so!" So I've been getting up and no longer being lazy, I've been running around the base several times a day, running the firing range a bit, lifting weights, etc., and the pain has really died down though I'll be sore there for a long time. The good news is, I'm ok.

But that's not what I'm here to talk about. Lately, I've been getting this extremely painful tingling in my right arm, and it lasts for around an hour. I can't move that arm or anything during that time, just let it sit there. It feels like bees are swarming and stinging my arm when it happens. I don't think it's from the bullet, but that's a possibility. I'm afraid that if I'm in a firefight or something, the pain will hit me and I won't be able to fight. I haven't told any doctors or anything in fear they'll put more needles in my arm and panic because of it.

Any ideas on what it may be? And anyway to stop it?

Talk to doctors... Might be nothing, might be life threatening. Needles should not be your concern here.

Pinched nerve, nerve damage, heart attack, over excercising, alien probe, take your pick, point is talk to someone who can help you. And although I get that you are sick of doctors and needles, all we can do from here is to support to do what you already know you should.

Speak to a physician.

Could well be a pinched nerve. I've heard many motorcyclists that have had bad arm, rib or shoulder injuries talk about periodic pain in the effected area. It seems to be a common symptom in sporting circles aswell, following on from bad bone or muscle tissue damage to the rib, shoulder or upper-arm that has left a nerve that can be pinched.

A number of riders in the Moto GP world championship have undergone an elective surgery just to pre-emp it.

its actually a pretty common problem, but surgery isnt the the best way, see a chiropractor if it is a pinched nerve, its cheaper and there isnt a recovery period. it could also be a blood clot, it could be a rare alien parasite taking up residence in your anus, or it could be that something got moved around a little when you were shot. after all, having an object pass through your body at a high velocity can do that to a person :psyduck: Edited by TheCalliton
