FO4Edit through Vortex

I'd like some help please in getting FO4Edit to work through Vortex. I can get LOOT to run. Edit on the other hand only recognizes the main file and the DLCs, no mods. I suspect that I don't have the paths correctly.

Here is the LOOt paths:

Target D:\Fallout 4\LOOT\LOOT.exe

Start in: D:\Fallout 4\LOOT

And for FO4Edit:

Target: D:\Fallout 4\FO4Edit 3.2.1-2737-3-2-1\FO4Edit.exe

Save in: D:\Fallout 4\FO4Edit 3.2.1-2737-3-2-1

I have tried going one layer deeper to the download folder and tried the Mod folder in the game folder. Not recognizing it.

The files one program finds and the other doesn't seem to find the same files.

I have the FO4 listed twice in Vortex with the modded version being listed as the primary. Am I doing something wrong that I am overlooking?

Thanks for your input in advance.

FO4Edit.exe needs to be in your Fallout folder. When you extract the the FO4Edit download, you need to extract it into the game folder. If FO4Edit is correctly installed, Vortex should see it and add it to the tools panel automatically.

Also, you shouldn't really use the external version of LOOT. It won't see any of the rules you create in Vortex. Vortex already uses LOOT internally.

follow the vortex time stamp. On your game you downloaded it for(i used fallout 4) select the game your installing it for and go to dashboard. Go to tools. So edit was already there for me but it was grayed out. The video doesnt explain this but this is what i did and it worked. So at tools, click the + to add a tool. Name it the game short your playing and edit, do this for the autoclean as well. Set the target folder for edit to edit.exe and the target for clean the autoclean.exe. ****DO NOT EXTRACT EDIT INTO YOUR GAME FOLDER**** The extract instructions are in the video.
