This morning I admired my six pack in the morning, in the bathroom.

wondering why anybody would buy me beer when it is well known I do not 'drink'.

wondering why they would leave the six pack of beer cans in the bathroom.

It is such a shame that when I look into any mirror it turns out to be an evil magical trick that shows me a false image of my truly handsome self.

No, I am not going bold, it just looks that way!

Doctor Who!? Escape: One
One 1.1[1]

The TARDIS shuddered and then the timespace ride became smooth again. The Doctor, and TiSuzane, were still in Timelord robes and those strange helmets and shoulder 'crests'. The two were busy working the controls but it was the grandfather who was making most of the decisions simply because he was much more experienced than his granddaughter. Their skin was light purple and they had some dark purple hair each. Their eyes were off-purple in colour. This was the standard Gallifreyan appearance when they wore any type of more solid shapeform.

The TARDIS was a unique machine and was being chased by three Timeguardian TSOs (Timespace Orbs) of the Timelords. They had stolen the TARDIS from a largely forgotten vault of unique historical experimental prototypes and other mysterious items. The Doctor had taken time, with TiSuzane, to steal a few other items before they departed but was careful to not touch most of them.

Why were they departing from Gallifrey, from the TimeCitadel? Because the Doctor had dared to challenge the growing power of the Orthodane Faction of the Timelords by leading a rebellion against them. The rebellion had failed but not totally. The brutal attempts, of the Orthodane Faction, to suppress any resistance to them had resulted into them gaining many more enemies. The Doctor knew the faction would fail but that it would be wise to take TiSuzane, and himself, away from the home world.

Suddenly the three TSOs stopped chasing them, the mission aborted. It would take somebody, some faction, of great influence to have that happen. Or did the Timeguardians have their own reason for doing so?

The TARDIS slipped into a transdimensional vector realm that any TSO would have difficulty entering and the two Timelords could relax but keep alert anyway. A machine dispensed dull tasting foodsticks and pristine cool water. TiSuzane managed to get some better flavoured sauce out of it that they could dip their foodsticks into.

TiSuzane spoke to her grandfather in the proper manner. "Grandfather, where are we going?"

Doctor Chronos, not his real name, smiled at her. "Getting to know the TARDIS is going to take time, and effort, and you can call me granddad."

She smiled warmly. "Granddad, what happened to mother? Did she really betray us?"

Her mother, his daughter, had seemingly done so. He shrugged. "I do not know, granddaughter. It is just one more mystery that we will need to find the answers to."

Alarms began to sound! The two went back to their console positions and this time sat on-in special chairs that rose up from the deck. They had good reason to belt in and they knew why the official chase had ended. A Timelord stealth hunter was out there, trying to track them. Officially the distorted deadly TSOs did not even exist but in the TimeCitadel it was one of many poorly kept secrets. The Orthodane Faction was well known for using such tricks, often looting old arsenals to get hold of them. Yet they did not know who, what, had sent the craft after them or even if there was just the one.

The chase continued.

Doctor Who!? Escape: Two

One 2.1[2]

The TARDIS materialized in a big smart-concrete chamber, dimly lit, its surfaced layered thinly with dust, with heaps of stuff lying against one wall. It seemed to be an abandoned subway station with only cheap, solid-state fluroflats providing any light. The main lights were off as were most of the network-systems and some 'salvaging' had taken place on those.

Two desiccated, oddly preserved, corpses lay close to a big smart-concrete pillar. What ever gear that they had worn had been looted. The Doctor, and his granddaughter, studied a holographic view of the scene through a TARDIS surveillance network-system. They noted the crude warning on the wall, painted in red paint, of a skull and bones. Beneath that was the word 'plague'. Clearly it was a warning about some kind of terrible biological outbreak.

The Doctor spoke. "You could use an avatar projection to investigate the area while I further investigate the TARDIS. We escaped those stealth-hunters only because the TARDIS made a sudden random 'jump-teleportation' but it was damaged lightly in doing so. I need to better understand the TARDIS, which is quite unlike any TimespaceOrb. It truly is an experimental wonder, a unique artefact, but somehow it feels 'familiar' to me."

TiSuzane smiled, nodded, and was pleased to be given a chance to both use the special device and to have a look around. She was soon slipping into the device, nakedly, and was soon merged with it. Then the avatar-projection of herself was outside.

Now that TiSuzane was out of the way, the Doctor opened a well hidden floor hatch and vanished down into a smallish chamber. There he carefully examined some exotic items that were in a line of heavily locked down, secured, display cases. They were powerful artefacts from the period of Rassilon's rule of the Timelords. He took out an item that he had taken from the vault, where the TARDIS had been stored and that TiSuzane had not seen him take, and put it carefully into an empty display-case. After making sure that it was carefully locked down, sealed, he returned to the command-control chamber.

Only to find his granddaughter waiting for him to come up out of the open hatchway.

She frowned at him, sweetly-sourly, and with annoyance in her eyes. "I heard you taking something even if I did not watch you do so. You taught me, remember."

With a mild grin he apologized and then took her down to the chamber to show her the amazing, frightening, collection of artefacts including the one that he had added. All had been created by Rassilon himself, in his many reincarnations. All were special even as Rassilon's artefacts went.

The Doctor spoke. "No more secrets, granddaughter, and I am glad you passed the test. We are going to need all of these artefacts, luck and more if we are to defeat the real threat to the universe, to the Timelords, and perhaps to other universes. It is no mere Timelord Faction."

Doctor Who!? Escape: Three
One 3.1[3]

TiSuzane moved, as an avatar of herself in head to foot stealth armour, through the area in a careful search pattern centered on the TARDIS itself. As she did so she found more long dead bodies that her hand-scanner told her were long dead, genetically engineered, enhanced humans. It was not the OldEarth, the original home world of humans, but seemed to have things in common with it.

Long deactivated vending-machines lined one wall that had been long ago looted of their goodies. There were some trolleys on their sides and heaps of rubbish. Graffiti, on the walls in many languages, spoke much about a terrible plague, of people dying or turning into monsters, of immune survivors fleeing to special fortified sanctuaries. Much of the graffiti lamented matters on a more personal level, were love poems, or statements of loss or much more. TiSuzane was heavily touched by what she recorded, in more than one way.

She was sad when she 'returned' to the TARDIS and the Doctor, bless him, was saddened by what she told him. His mysterious past contained some very dark events but he had not allowed himself to become coldly cut off and cynical. He went back to working on better understanding the TARDIS while his granddaughter focused on studying the recordings she had made through the avatar but also other data collected more directly through the TARDIS. A thousand tiny mincrodrones were sent out from the TARDIS but only to the same local area that TiSuzane had gone to; Timelords had learned caution for many reasons; one was the desire not to impact heavily on less advanced peoples and the other was for their own security and safety. They could not afford to assume that only less advanced people, and technologies, were out there.

For a thousand days and nights I slept comfortably in my giant bed!
Dreaming sweet dreams of seminaked lovely purple women wearing cabbage bikinis!

Oh did I know, no I did not, of a terrible crisis that I was creating even as I slept!
For I had consumed great quantities of cheesy curry baked beans before I had gone to bed!
At least 10 metric tonnes.

And as I slept I FARTED and FARTED and FARTED.
My gravity anchor held down flexible steel bed clothes held it all down except the tremors caused the city to be evacuated.

'Slight leaks' of gas had folks going around in hazmat suits and an unexpected blessing that was.

:nuke:

When I awoke!

I pulled back my bedclothes and leapt out of bed!

Only to cry out in pain and go stumbling, gasping for breath, to my nucleur shelter walk in closet.

The authorities never found the source of the toxic stink!

They said that the city would be fully inhabitable again in another ten years or so.

And they threatened to find the culprit and do nasty things to them as I bravely hid in my closet.

My Puddytat helped me to resolve an error in my judgement.

I considered that she was the center of her universe and I was the center of my universe.

But no, this was not true!

She was the center of her universe and she was the center of my universe.

After that correction everything went much more smoothly.

The Curse of Quamaire
One 40.1[40]{40}

The Imperial Fleet of magically assisted sailships and airships reached the Quamaire Islands and began sending out messages to the local peoples that it came to assist in the fight against the Great Enemy. There were fighting vessels and transports with mostly infantry but some horse units along with sappers, war-machines, battlemages and others including camp followers in their own vessels.

As the landing began, Aratoron warriors came warily to meet the vanguard of Legionaries and Marines but soon they were assured that this was no invasion of Aratoron Territories. The first officers were envoys and not the main commanders of the expeditionary force. The main commanders would meet with Aratoron high commanders in the future.

Crates of trade-goods were unloaded as tributes to the Aratoron people and to its rulers. The Aratorons insisted that they would give tributes in return, their pride not having it otherwise.

StarMarshal Drake Septum stood on the deck of his massive battle-sailship with its steammagic catapults, catapults, its archery towers, tripod-crossbows, its special battlements and much else including places for battlemages to hurl magical projectiles from. Despite the magic, the sailships mostly depended on their sails to move and depended on magic only when they had to do so. The command ship had some of the new muzzle loading, gunpowder using cannons as did a few other sailships.

The Quamaire Islands were truly beautiful but he had been there already as the Eternal Warrior though not in a role serving the Septum Empire. That had been a long time ago and he was happy to see that the island felt much better since had had secretly helped destroy the Tooze domination of the islands.

It was a large force but not as large as he had hoped for. The trouble was that the Empire was facing troubles on the continent and he suspected, as did others, that the sudden rise of such was no coincidence. Yet he had some tricks up his sleeve because he was an aspect of the Eternal Warrior. A couple were very powerful, but tricky, and he hoped that he never would have to use them.

Seagulls flew close to the newcomer vessels, riding on the breezes, and fishes flashed silvery in the waters. Dolphins swam fairly close out of curiosity. It was still a tropical paradise but one with dark hidden threats.
