Doctor Who!? Escape: Twenty-Two
One 22.1[22]{22}

Supreme Timelord Elders floated into the chamber sitting in semicomfortable or, if younger in regenerative terms, standing on the same kind of disks that lifted the chairs. Soon a circle was formed in a largely bare chamber of a TARDIS like complex that was unknown even to exist by most Timelords. The Supreme Elders had come in a relative hurry, for Timelords, and still wore more casual garbs of duty or off duty kinds. They glowed, shimmered, sparkled softly with their elegant attractiveness. There were shoulder-head helmets of ornamental nature showing ranks and castes.

Elegantly charismatic Supreme Elder Chairperson Shavakon spoke as soon as all were in place, skipping any formalities because such were not used in such secret meetings and because it was an emergency. "Timespace distortions, subtle but powerful, have been detected by our most sophisticated instrumentalities. The source is puzzling for it appears to be our home world of Gallifrey but in the very distant past; that is in a timespace era that Timelords can not reach. Yet some of those distortions have carried with them snippets of communications taking place between different Timelord Factions. There are Timeguardians and Timemasters. There are also unknown Timelord Factions. There are mentions of the 'Doctor, the Rani, the Master and other Timelord Renegades. All we can do at this 'time' is to start a major investigation into what has happened, is happening and what might happen as a consequence. We must avoid jumping to conclusions or giving into fear."

So the meeting began to make decisions that would lead to yet other meetings, most of them held openly, and yet other decisions. Despite this most Timelords would not know of such actions, at least not at first. As for other Gallifreyans, they tended to know even less, than the Timelords, but they would also be forced to realise that something was 'up'.

Doctor Who!? Escape: Twenty-Three
Zero 1.1[1]{23}

The Timespace Guardians of the Ominiverse, the inhabited supposedly civilised facet of the Multiverse, became aware of the timespace disturbances being caused by a secondary universe in the Primus Dyne'Ea Vortexual Sector. It was not the universe that mattered to them primarily or the amount of disturbance but the nature of the disturbance.

At once a Core Central Tricouncil meeting took a whole 15.8 standard seconds to organise and launch an investigative team to the source of that universe that was a small planet, one of 18 planets, orbiting an obscure star in Universe QZI-987y6t5r41234df at Phase Patterning oikj-olki-lkoi-nhb-uhjt6 at Coordinates ......

The expedition was organised within 15 standard minutes and launched in eight standard seconds. The expeditionary ship was disguised as a 'local' Timelord TARDIS, which it perfectly mimicked with some enhancements and hidden extras.

They were not the only ones to be drawn to what was happening! This was both good and bad!

Doctor Who!? Escape: Twenty-Four
One 23.1[23]{24}

The metallic cloud, tentacle shaped in its formation, shot through the air even as the Doctor's group hid behind an area of machinery and heaped hardware. Like the berserker nanobot virus, that had sent the cyborg soldiers crazy, the metallic cloud was a long forbidden weapon of the Timelords. It also came from an ancient period of chaos when Timelord Factions had battled each other and other threats. In truth much had been forgotten about that period or, if it was known, it was sealed away by the Timelord Elders.

Instead of nanobots, it consisted of amazingly sophisticated and lethal microbots. Microbots were tiny but massive when compared to nanobots.

Luckily it was not long in that great chamber, entering quickly through one great doorway and leaving through another. The tentacle formation ended in a sphere just as it was led by the point of the tentacle. It appeared to be going somewhere in a hurry.

The Doctor was very grave as he spoke to Kellite and her comrades. He had no need to speak to the Timelord androids. "I greatly suspect that it was that, or something like it, that has been carrying out so much destruction. If so this world is in a great deal more danger, and so are we, than I previously calculated. It is time to take a chance and have the DocTARDIS brought here to us because I need to access its technologies. For one thing I want to examine the berserker nanobots and see if I can find a way to negate them or even convert them to be useful in a positive fashion."

Kellite nodded as she frowned. "This is all beyond me, Doctor, do as you will."

Doctor Who!? Escape: Twenty-Five
One 24.1[24]{25}

The Doctor hugged his granddaughter, briefly, and then they got to work using the data that both of them had worked on gaining during the time that they were apart from each other. The four Timelord androids, that had gone on the expedition, were processed in various ways while they were in special cybernetic quarantine. This was due to security protocols and the Doctor had been heavily checked as he entered the DocTARDIS. Kellite, and her cyborg comrades, were in a special chamber being checked and the berserker virus victim cyborgs were in another.

It was becoming only too apparent that there were heavy links between that world, of those timespace coordinates, and the ancient dark times of the Timelords when even Rassilon himself was under threat of destruction, as very powerful as he was. The ancient super-weapons used were so powerful that they had damaged the very timespace fabric.

They had discovered a number of horrors, already, that could be linked to that age of horror; just what else was out there?

We have always had weapons

of one kind

or another

for survival

for hunting

for protection against that/those which would attack us

but too often

to attack others

with out fairness

with out real provocation

though we might make up fantasies of such

or not bother to do so at all!

Weapons do not do the damage!

We do!

But the more deadly the weapons we have to use, to abuse

the more death and destruction we can cause.

Zombies From the Sky: Fifteen

Was One 6a

One 14.1[14]{16}

Three ships moved steadily towards where the airship had reported the site of debris, where they had grabbed up samples and where they had rescued a large tomcat that was being greatly spoilt by a few airship crew members.

It was expected that the big, disguised, ships would intercept the airship soon as the flying vessel was going faster than the ships could. The disguise was a clever one being as research vessels, this explaining many of the features on the vessels and even the canvas tarp covering of other details taken to be valuable equipment; they were valuable bits of equipment but not as the official documents described them to be.

One vessel was the biggest, being the command ship with the main research facilities including laboratories, workshops, and special work spaces. That ship had very powerful radio equipment along with some very secret devices along with special radar and sonar. The existence of the comet entities, as they were called for convenience, was well known of. Most of the world did not know they existed and none seemed to know much at all.

The second biggest vessel was a disguised fighting machine focusing on a wide array of weapons and a contingent of elite soldiers with some very interesting hardware. The ship itself had some very interesting hardware.

The third ship was only slightly smaller than the second and had the task of service support to all of the ships. Yet it had its secrets. It was also where the float-plane was currently up on deck, in its own hanger. It would not go out for some time thanks to the worsening weather that even the airship might have some difficulty with.

All three vessels had special equipment, some of it very secret and exotic. All had soldiers, weapons and armour. All were on the watch out for threats from above, below and on the ocean surface.

There was some tension for, despite all the careful preparations made for the mission, they were dealing with dangerous possibilities, with the unknown.

What was not known, by those of the expedition, was that they were being followed by a former military submarine, a deadly undersea predator designed and built by the PanAxis but now used by another faction. Upgraded, adapted, the submarine had so far not been detected despite the relative hitech of the BISSA but it had to stay back. That is it had to keep a frustrating distance from those that it followed, the one who commanded it being always concerned that he might lose the convoy. It would not be a mistake that his masters would easily forgive him for making.

Zombies From the Sky: Sixteen

Was Zero 2.1[2]{8}

Zero 2.1[2]{17}

While governments were reluctant to face another big war, after the destructive 13 year long Great World War had swept across much of the world, the growing evidence of approaching trouble could not be easily ignored. Also there was the influences of the mysterious immortals who had helped the Free Alliance to defeat the PanAxis and Zaztek Empire. The League of Nations had somehow survived the Great World War and, to the surprise of most, had grown stronger with more nations as member states. The LN Security Council reluctantly pushed for on going international efforts against increasing troubles and further preparations for more troubles.

The secret super weapons, of the Great World War, were brought out of their hidden arsenals and were dusted off for more use. The SSWs had been used to finally destroy the Zaztek Empire in a way that still horrified those who had used them. The Zazteks were no longer in position to complain, or so it was assumed.

At the end of the Great World War, GWW, those who had created the SSWs vanished except for a minority. They were the Genius13 and most of them vanished into hiding despite government, and other extensive efforts, to find them.

Peace time had meant the understandable shrinkage of military forces around the world but military spending remained fairly substantial; this was because nobody wanted to be taken by surprise again, as they had been at the start of the GWW. This included funding on research and development such as the new liftergas airships, airbarges and airboats that were starting to influence the human world in a big way; that was along with hybrid electric cars, electric monorail trains, tape player-recorders, coloured photography and film, diesel engines, black-white television, crude regenerative rejuvenative treatments, modern enclosed monoplanes, new plastics, new metal alloys, metal melding, and more including special secretive technologies.

The Watchguardia was created along with many other organisations, such as the BISSA, to deal with the increasing troubles of the things falling from the sky and the glimmering mists that came from them.

Not all was bad in the Known World. Television was spreading slowly across the world though most folks went to TVclubs, not being able to afford to own a set as yet. While most folks did not privately own cars, the number of rental hybrid-electric hire cars, leased vehicles, and taxicars was greatly increasing as was public transport of many kinds. The Electric Beatles, Elvis Pelvis, Mavis Brown and other popular musical acts were sweeping across the world with their influence along with the new electric big bands and orchestras. Movie cinemas were still very popular as was radio broadcasting but sports was being broadcast now on TV in increasingly more places.

Zombies From the Sky: Seventeen

Was Zero 2a

Zero 3.1[3]{18}

In a massive hanger, disguised as a normal ten level factory building, workers were bring out into the open strange globe shaped gravity-globes, chunky saucer shaped gravity-saucers, hulking atomic landships, atomic cannons, atomic rockets, atomic rocketships, atomic train locomotives and other such devices. Massive forklifts, electric trucks, rail vehicles, cranes, atomic mecha, and other such machines were used with extreme care.

Professor Mechanius, formerly of the Genius13, had never wanted to see such mechanisms brought out of storage; instead he had advocated for their destruction along with all information pertaining to them. Governments had ignored him, including the League of Nations Security Council, and big corporations had pressured to have the secrets, of such technologies, passed to them; thankfully the League of Nations had refused. He stood on a high raised semi-enclosed observation platform

Why? Because all of the supposed wonder technologies had intrinsic instabilities to them and also dangerous side effects on those that used them.

Mechanius turned and frowned at the other white lab coated man there, who was somebody he detested as a self centred, greedy, overly ambitious fool. Yes he was smart but Professor Bedmore was not the genius that he assumed that he was, far from it.

Bedmore grinned. "We will have all of this up and running by the end of this month."

"That is not going to happen!" Mechanius responded dryly. "I have told you this more than once. We will be more careful, in our progress, than that. There will have to be a period of careful checking of all of the machines. There is always the chance that while in storage, as very carefully stored as they were, that their instability has increased. Your attempt to publish sensitive information, in a rubbish public science rag, has been blocked. You should have known better than to pass such information to a science tabloid reporter. He is now dead because of you."

Bedmore shrugged. "He was nothing! Nobody will miss him! It was worth it to try to bring the truth to the people."

The super genius sighed. "You really should have listened to my warnings. The reporter had a wife and a child."

Mechanius moved with amazing speed and power, snapping Bedmore's neck in seconds. The dead man dropped to the metal deck of the observation platform. The super genius calmly went back to observing what was going on. There was no need to him to intercede for everybody knew what they were doing as some took away the dead body and most went on doing what they had been doing. Nobody would report on what had happened as they were either too loyal, too frightened or too indifferent.
