The Curse of Quamaire, Doctor Who: Escape, and DC Madness will not be restarted unless readers request it so. Zombies from the Sky, and Bigtropolis, will be continued.

DC Madness and Doctor Who could be combined, with other elements, into a new story.

Bigtropolis: Seventeen

Zero 6.1[6]{19}

Beyond Bigtropolis, beyond the Greenlands of semiwilderness based settlements, and nature reserves, was the low hulking Great Boundary Wall. Beyond that were the NewEarth Wastelands dotted with semiruins, fortified citystates, hidden vault complexes, just as hidden bunkers, and much else. There roamed raiders, tribal nomads, dangerous swarms of ghouls, radcritters, bigger radmonsters, rogue robots, and much else.

The NE Wastelands were one result at the part failure of the massive NewEarth Terraforming Project.

Between the Great Boundary Wall, and the NE Wastelands, was a buffer zone known as the Wildlands. Here there were people, supported by Bigtropolis resources, who in turn deal with many threats that might otherwise trouble the megacity. Not all were happy, with the current arrangement, either in Bigtropolis or in the Wildlands. Yet most continued to support it though many of those saw strong reasons for reform.

Bigtropolis: Seventeen

Zero 7.1[7]{20}

3DRadio DJ Crazy Henry spoke even as the Silver Beatles stopped singing their old hit, Ever Strawberry Fields. He slipped back his feathered tophat, of dark purple, and spoke in a dark sombre fashion. "Corpses sitting up in morgues, in wakes. Dragons stirring beyond the Great Boundary Wall. Deep psychics speaking of waking, and sleeping, visions of dark portent. The Larry Render Show threatening to come back for another season. We are truly facing dark omens."

Then he spoke with a grin in his voice. "Still, everything can go better with CoolasCola, your refreshing sugar drenched soft drink guaranteed to give you a nice zip and a zing. Don't worry folks, I am sure the government has everything in hand and we have nothing to worry about."

Then he laughed cynically before speaking on. "The very central area, of Bigtropolis Central Park, remains sealed off to the public. Its not just public safety officers down in the big central gardens, or even civil cops, but heavy duty girls boys of government paramilitaries backed by lots of hardware. Some spooks down there also along with some secretive geeks and eggheads. Now I hear the same thing big is happening at the Saint Care Hospital; you know the one that is, coincidentally, right next to Bigtropolis Central Park. Well, folks, is it going to be a repeat of the Days of the Flying Saucers or the Great Sewers Flood when muties, from below, rose up into the city proper? Text us, phone us, Email us and I will respond to the most interesting, wittiest, and stupidest of your responses, if you can handle my highly intelligent insights."

An advertisement began playing of new 'miniature electric sports cars', the sports cars that even the lower middle class could afford. The Bigtropolis Government sponsored such vehicles, making them cheaper, in an attempt to get people not to buy bigger, more powerful, street troubling machines. DJ Crazy Henry doubted it would work except with those that would have bought the machines anyway. The whole 'thing' smelt of mild corruption, of back handers from the said electric vehicles manufacturing corporation.

He sighed and sat back even as a young woman walked into the room dressed only in a string-bikini, walked over to him smiling very warmly at him. It was good to have fans, especially young or rejuvenated women ones of the kind now coming to entertain him. He was reaching for the drawer, with the champaign, when she made a slim black pistol appear out of seemingly nowhere. Before he could react, she shot him neatly in the forehead.

After quickly, efficiently, searching his studio only to find nothing of value in the way of information, on how he gained his information, she departed.

DJ Crazy Henry sat up, cursed softly in some ancient language, and the bullet fell out of his forehead. Then the bullet hole sealed itself up. He wiped off the small amount of spilt blood with some paper tissues and shook his head.

Now he, Captain Jack Harkness, of the deep secret Torchwood organisation, would have to find a new identity to conceal his current mission activities behind a new fake identity; that was to try to find out just what was going on in Bigtropolis Central Park by gathering seemingly meaningless information from the general public.

The beautiful Gwen walked in, in a typical casual business get up for a woman, and shook her head. "Your charming ways did not stop that one, Jack! We figure a super assassin, most likely a superclone, and there is a chance she knew you would come back to life." Gwen pointed to a pale white flower on the DJ desk; it was a skull rose indicating death and unnatural resurrection.

Jack sighed. "A message from the Shadowmaster if there ever was one. Either that or DoctorDeath or maybe the..." He shrugged. "From somebody who knows that I can not die!"

Gwen frowned. "Which means at least a hundred suspects. I suggest that we get out of here quickly and take everything with us of any real value. I will contact the rest of the team and you can deal with Torchwood Command."

Handsome Jack did not look pleased at the idea but for good reason for his relationship with command was not generally a pleasant one; he represented the more exotic, wild side, of Torchwood operations while command tended to have more 'orthodox' views.

Bigtropolis Story Factors:

The GlobeEye and its heavily 'cloaked' surveillance of Bigtropolis!?

The setting of Bigtropolis Central Park, an underground base from the last major war, and other facilities below that!?

Appearance of the Rainbowbaby, her avatars, her extensions, seeking to recover something of vital importance that she appears to have been tricked out of or is that the case!?

The increasing involvement of different factions including:

*The ancient tentacle creature hidden deep underground in Bigtropolis, along with its minions and followers; often called OoooobusOa. From a species that once, a very long time ago, occupied what Bigtropolis was back then.

*Special Weapons Armour Teams, SWATs, of the Special Weapons Armour Force, SWAF.

*XFiles Investigation Agency, the XFIA.

*Lucky Eddie and his freelance irregular mercenary unit. As linked to the ancient tentacle entity.

*Torchwood, super secret organisation.

*Extremely advanced, evolved, intelligent alien species observing, quarantining, the world and the solar system. The 13as1 entities serving them that have infiltrated the abandoned, sealed, Saint Care Hospital. Soon joined by two other 13as1 entities. As linked to the GlobeEye.

*In general many others including government, corporate, cult and other interests.

Bigtropolis: Eighteen

Two 1.1[1]{21}

Shots still rang out, now and then, but the great rushing attack of enemy creatures had ended and the last were being finished of. The half solid things had been easy enough to destroy but it was soon realised that as each one 'died' there a strong chance it would be replaced by an identical copy. The supertroopers soon were of the opinion that the exotic attack was more of an attempt to measure defensive capacity than it was a genuine attack.

The plastic soldiers had done well in attacking the enemy as had more newly formed plastic dragons, knights, mecha, fighting robots, and even some amazon warriors. The flying supertrooper babies had stuck close to supertroopers. Only once had the Rainbowbaby struck directly, hurling a ball of energies that exploded to destroy over half of the attacking things, none of which were replicated. Clearly she had dealt with such a threat before and knew how to deal with it but was reluctant to disclose how, why, this was so.

The things had come along a big hallway that sloped downwards at a moderate degree. At the end of it was a cluster of chambers that were clearly much older than the military bunker. There were indications of nonhuman workings, of elf presence with there being statues of the elegant, pointy eared, humanoids. There was still a relatively large minority of elves living in Bigtropolis but they tended to stick to their own enclaves, especially the more elitist castes, classes, and races. The most common type of elves were also the least isolationist in their ways but tended to be looked down upon by other types of elves.

Yet the chambers did not give the impression of being linked with any of the known kinds of elves. There was something hard, cold, about the figures, their eyes, and the other decorations of that place. It was seemingly a temple of some kind but also more than that, being perhaps an elven place of experimentation, research, and academic study of exotic knowledge.

They found the statue, of the Rainbowbaby, at the center of a dome shaped chamber except that it was nine times the size of the real one and the rainbow effect was largely faded away.

The Rainbowbaby, one of her, became noticeably agitated when she came to the statue. She flew slowly around it, spinning in a 3D fashion, as if searching eagerly for something. Then she glowed briefly and part of the statue slid open at the chubby muscular belly area. It showed a carefully designed cavity with floor impressions designed to hold an odd shaped device of some kind. The space was clearly empty and the Rainbowbaby was not impressed.

The XFIA team sent people into the newly found chambers being escorted, assisted, by others.

Scullie held the Rainbowbaby, soothing her because the small one was upset at not finding something in the statue; perhaps she had hoped to do so and perhaps it was the 'thing' that she had left behind the last time she was in that place. Or perhaps the truth was more complicated, more subtle, than the Rainbowbaby had so far hinted at it being.

Bigtropolis: Nineteen

Two 2.1[2]{22}

Shentbarb was a tall, angular, semihuman of altered human genotype. He scowled as he loped along a tunnel, clutching a big briefcase of highly valuable items, some cash, and other items. In his other hand he held a walking stick that was more than just a walking stick. As he rushed for his life, the last of his henchmen died as bullets struck down the thug. Shentbarb did not care except that losing all of his henchmen was somehow a 'messy' situation to him and he hated messy situations. His big, oversized, eyes took in the tunnel features ahead as the deadly assassins steadily caught up with him.

Shentbarb was frustrated, angry, that he had been taken completely by surprise by the attack when his business was dealing in such information; he was excellent at it and puzzled that he had gained no warnings at all.

With mixed feelings he was surrounded by Lucky Eddie, and his people, who fired away at the assassins and drove them off. Clearly they were not willing to take on such as Lucky Eddie, and his team, as they had been Shentbarb's thugs.

Shentbarb was pleased to be rescued by now both he, and Lucky Eddie, knew he was in Lucky Eddie's debt.

When Lucky Eddie spoke it was clear he had no interest in pressing his advantage. "Shentbarb, there is something big, nasty, and slippery going on in Bigtropolis that we need to deal with for our own sakes, let alone that of the megacity. Even as I came closer, to this place, I gained information that elite assassins have been contracted to kill a big list of exotic information traders, like yourself. They have other lists of targets, such as myself, and quite a few others."

Shentbarb scowled. He was offended and his pride was hurt. He spoke in an odd high pitch voice, that he did not appreciate the sound of. "Then we had better get working on the problem before it gets us."

So they did!

Bigtropolis: Twenty

Two 3.1[3]{23}

Supermutants had been created in the complex, or so a search team found as they got through a big heavy power wheel-door of the kind that was found in VaultTek TekVaults, along with other places that the TekCorps (Tekhard Corporations) had dealt with. Walter was there, frowning with bad feelings about the way that humans, and other lifeforms, had been tortured doing the mutagenic based experiments.

The twisted monstrous corpses of failed experiments were to be found in big preservation alcoves, each with its thick armour glass screen. Most had been humans, by the look of things, but others had been other kinds of humanoids, or had been large dogs, or even other lifeforms.

Walter shook his head. "Bell wished to do experimenting with mutagenics, gamma radiation, and FEV at one stage in our working relationship but I opposed it. The great, monstrous, GreenHulk creature may have been created by such a combination plus some unusual elements in his genetic inheritance."

The beautiful Astrid gave Walter an odd look. "The GreenHulk is only a 3Dcartoon character, an antihero with the Justice League of Bigtropolis."

Walter smiled at her. "In this, alternative version of, Bigtropolis that is certainly the case. William Bell, and myself, created a special device that allowed us to view alternative Bigtropolis zones. The Bigtropolis, with all the bare breasted young women, was most fascinating but so they all were in their own way. Still, they all had their bad points, such as those amazons dragging off young men to be ritually slaughtered as human sacrifices. The women were bigger, stronger, than the men."

Superclones, plastic figures, XFIA people, were investigating the whole chamber. There were some flying baby figures.

One aspect, of the Rainbowbaby, was with Scullie but that was no surprise at all as they were rather close. Muldor was with them as they examined a few files left behind in a metal filing cabinet. It was clear that the place had been abandoned in a great hurry but some files had been left behind.

Astrid sighed. "What did you and Bell not get up to?"

Walter shrugged. "We dabbled in some very dangerous areas but in the end I grew tired with it all and, as you know, part of my brain was removed." He looked around, frowning softly. "Why do I get the impression that I have been here before, not just here but in other parts of the underground complex. That is a long time ago before I met Peter's mother and she gave me the privilege of allowing me to marry her."

Astrid shook her head. "You have never told me how old you are?"

He smiled at her. "Ooohhh, that is not important. Anyway, I can't remember how old I am. Except that when I was very young my parents took me to the Bigtropolis Glorious Technological Exhibition. I think I was 10 years old at the time."

Astrid looked shocked. "That was over 200 years ago!"

Walter shrugged. "Just over 300 years, Astrid my sweet, but it is not important. I think that we should keep looking around."

So they did just that!

Bigtropolis: Twenty-One

Two 4.1[4]{24}

The complex, that they had first been investigating, was exposing more strange secrets but most of the projects were turning out to be of secondary importance only, at least when in relationship to such as the supermutantation, nuclear, FEV, and other such primary projects. Yet the secondary projects often ran in support of primary ones, not all of them being in that place.

In the last great war, Bigtropolis had fought a grim alliance of the oligarchic militaristic Enclaven, the menacing TekCorps, and exotic Caeser's Empire, along with other forces allied to them. Bigtropolis had won with the support of the Order of Steel, the Greater New Republic, and other forces allies to them.

The strange thing was that the complex showed evidence of some kind of conspiracy made up of elements from both sides of the war; they were conspiring to carry out secret goals beneath the very Bigtropolis Central Park.

It was all very puzzling and no easy answers were coming to light.

Question was what had Walter Bishop, and William Bell, to do with what had been taking place there?

What connection was there with the complex and the ancient, unknown, elf people's temple complex?
