I am taking a short break from Bigtropolis Troubles to check it over and perhaps to focus on another story for the moment.

truely , beauty is in the eye of the beholder . beautiful isn't something to be correct or false for everyone . beauty has two aspects . 1) beauty inside 2) beauty that is how you look ..... when you enter a place you are judged on how beautiful you are by your looks and when you exit that place you ARE judged by your beliefs , your thoughts, your manners ... humans love both but the beauty inside is what that it will remain

Ultimate Virtual Reality Struggles: One

One 1.1[1]{1}

The choking dust swirled across the plain and the IPCs (Immersive Player Characters) wisely sheltered in a small but good sheltering crevice in the great sweep of cracked, fractured, rock. Baseline Survival Gear had helped them get that far, with only one of the team falling to tempdeath (temporary death). That was a loss to the team but much less a one than had been feared. 12, of the 13, remained in action dodging threats as they headed towards the FTD (final target destination). Morale was not high but neither was it dangerously low since all of the IPCs had been well forewarned of what was to come.

Jazni010 was sublieutenant and now in charge since the lieutenant had died in order to save the others, earning a fairly good bonus in the process. She had not intended to be in charge but knew she could deal with the pressures.

In the distance a patrol of daedra moved across the plain being two dremora warriors and four daedric scards (like scamps but taller, thinner, and using both armour and hand-weapons though mostly shields plus midswords. All the daedra had daedric magical arms, armour, but those of the dremora were of higher level than those of the dremora, which was logical enough.

Sergeant Afrin121 spoke from where he crouched, in his own head to foot light quasimagical armour. "I would love to kill them but best, I suppose, to leave them. Since Lieutenant Haris777 was butchered, by some of those monsters, they seemed to be more common in the area."

Sublieutenant Jazni010 responded. "One of the scards escaped and must have given the alarm. Unless the patrol, that was destroyed, had some kind of alert broadcasting device. Remember that we have taken some items from fallen daedra that we have not been able to discover the purpose of."

They were in a fringe realm of Oblivion as linked to the other realm of Mundus where existed the world of Nirn and the supercontinent of Tamriel. They were seeking a ruined city and, in that city, 13 prize artefacts.

Ultimate Virtual Reality Struggles: One

One 1.2[2]{2}

Their plans to lay low were soon put to rest when the fugitives came into sight, struggling tiredly to escape from a following party of dremora, with clanfear acting as aggressive tracking animals, with scards and scamp humanoids able to hurl daedric magical fireballs, iceballs, or sparkballs. The fugitives were a mixture of dremora cousin people, the enslaved kremona, and enslaved humans seeking freedom. The sublieutenant found herself admiring the escapees even as she gave the command for intervention.

There was no question of whether to intervene. Part of the training game was the positive karmic possibility to assist escaped slaves and though dangerous, such side quests offered good bonuses in gamecredit.

They came up and out into the open, drawing out bows and notching arrows with softly glowing arrowheads or longswords to go with their small circular shieldguns. Daedra, of the smaller and nearer party, turned to attack only to receive an arrow that exploded violently amongst them. Daedra were hurled in all direction, the scards being hurled further than the heavier, taller, dremora. More arrows followed as the elite fighters attacked.

The poorly armed, exhausted, fugitives went to ground in a very common sense fashion. Jazni010 was pleased at their actions as she did not have to worry about her team hurting, or even killing, the escapees.

It was butchery but the IPCs were well used to butchery. They unleashed a lethal, well aimed, barrage of quasimagical arrows, energy arrows, and shieldgun energy pulses. Explosions, elemental flashes, and other nasty effects dropped daedra who had been taken by surprise. The patrol had been walking past the team and the other daedra had been focused on catching up to the escaped slaves.

Sublieutenant Jazni010 was sickened by the brutal killing of the daedra though the daedra thrived on such treatment of others, even other daedra depending upon followings, alliances, clan memberships, and such.

Jazni010 thrust her longsword into the unprotected throat of a grinning dremora female warrior, who seemed only too happy to die 'honourably' in battle. It was a dubious honour that the sublieutenant was only too happy to grant to the nonhuman.

Then the skirmish was done and while two of her people were lightly wounded, none were tempkilled.

Ultimate Virtual Reality Struggles: Two

One 2.1[3]{3}

In the crevice, they found a concealed tunnel being cut into by the actual hole. In reality it had been a reality shift granted to them because the team had successfully completed the side quest but also for reasons yet to be discovered. Opening up access to the tunnel was not easy as it meant shifting some fairly big pieces of rock and putting them back into place, from beneath, was also troublesome.

The former slaves had been allowed to take what they could use, from the dead daedra, except for a very few odd items that were taken by the sublieutenant for special reasons.

The tunnel turned out to be made of strange glistening stone tiles that had nothing to do with the Daedra Prince MehrunesDagon or his daedric minions. The local lands had never been truly dominated by MehrunesDagon so that made sense. MehrunesDagon was sending many of his followers into the area to scout the possibility of creating a colony there but it was a mystery why he was using many valuable resources to do so; just what was the cunning, greedy, brutal Daedric Prince after.

A ghostly pale light emanated from a series of semirandomly placed stones embedded into the stone of the ceiling. Stone emblems, and symbols etched into stone tiles, were of a daedric fashion but not one that anybody in the team had encountered before. They slowed and recordings were made of the various markings but also of the tunnel in a more general fashion. Quasimagic eyeboxes were used to do this.

They found the first dead dremora warrior scout at a cross junction of two tunnels, the other going right angles to the one they were following. The dremora were monstrous but the way it had died seemed to have been even more so. The body was dessicated as if flesh, blood, and more had been somehow drawn out of it.

One of the kremona former slaves spoke out, she sounding most nervous though she now had the use of some daedric items taken from a dead dremora, including weapons and armour. "We escaped from the slave working areas, digging up an ancient city with the same kind of symbols there that are here. We dared to try to escape, not all of us made it, because 'something' evil has been killing lifeforms just as this dremora warrior-scout died."

Ultimate Virtual Reality Struggles: Two

One 2.2[4]{4}

The sublieutenant was understandably unhappy about this information. It was not hard to discover, after that, that the escaped slaves had come from the very ruined city that the team were heading towards. Now the 12 of them faced not just the denizens of the ruined city but also a large number of daedra and the threat that was attacking and killing lifeforms in a terrible fashion. There were also many slaves but they were not a threat to the players.

The dead dremora had some useful loot that was taken, a whole backsack of items being taken up by a kremona to carry. Clearly the vampiric like entity had not desired to rob the dremora.

Two more dead, dessicated, dremora warrior-scouts had apparently put up a fight proven by splashes of strange glistening greenish red blood on part of the floor near them and on one daedric magical sword's blade.

The former slaves of tribal humans, and daedric kremona, were fascinated by the eyeboxes though fearful, at first, of having their souls taken. Soon they were posing to have recording taken of them. Yet all were keen to move on away from a pervading sense of evil that clung to that place. They took more daedric items, equipping more of the six kremona and seven tribal humans.

They continued along the same tunnel in theory because it was heading towards the ruined city but in practise because they were heading towards a special point where they could safely, quasimagically, send the former slaves to a sanctuary. It would also give a good chance to reveal if any amongst the fugitives were treacherous spies or, worse, some kind of shapeshifters or such like.

There were no more incidents, no more dead dremora warrior-scouts, as the team kept moving along the tunnel.
