No Beds Inside Castle?

My favorite is Clean and Simple Settlement Startup - the version without Sanctuary and the Castle, since I use Quince99's Sanctuary Hills Restoration Relaunch (sadly no longer on Nexus) and Hozsa's The Castle Fully Restored In and Out.

I vowed to never use Scrap Everything when I read how you could accidentally scrap Heather Casdin, besides, Clean and Simple does a much better job with settlements.

Unfortunately, the damage with Scrap Everything might be baked into your save games.

@SirGalahad, the reason SE "breaks" things, is Bethesda is lazy, and didn't apply the "treat as ground" keyword to everything they should have. They instead made it so all precombined meshes are treated as ground, so breaking precombineds (which is required if you want to be able to scrap those meshes that had been precombined) makes it so you can't build on them without adding the keyword yourself. Some things were missed (such as the Starlight screen/backroom*), and the only way to add the keyword to a static collection is to break it, and add the keyword to the parts**. The need to add that keyword individually to everything that needs it is why, whenever someone points out a new thing that needs the keyword, I add that new base object to the Building Placement Fix and advise they use Place Everywhere. Every feature of Place Everywhere is toggleable, so you can, if you want, only use the snap functionality***.

A small discussion about this: https://bethesda.net/community/topic/135715/custom-workshop-item-clipping-unplaceable/3

Essentially, something happens so that the ground/cement/whatever is missing the workshop stackable keyword. It's most noticable in the Castle because it seems to almost always break. It's been ages since I did anything in the Creation Kit and forgot mostly everything so I can't give a tutorial on how to fix it. I had to do that to make settlement mods I was making place nice with Scrap Everything.

castlewalloutwedge 01/02/03/04 don't have any keyword by default, adding workshopstackableitem true CK fix this sinking true the floor

beth prolly forgot it, just like by so many other things

if any floor piece have the right keyword, and any item still fall true the floor, that item prolly mis the keyword everythingisground

another good sample is this somervile ?, that crappy settlement with the 2 kids and guy, the house is 1 piece, break it and add keywords, now you can place anything inside

You can use Snappy Housekit and Place Everywhere to replace every part of that house. I replaced the roof and walls with broken windows, but never thought to replace the floor pieces, because I never put anything in there. I left it for the original family.

I use both Spring Cleaning and Scrap Everything. I let LOOT sort my load order, and I've never had any problems using both of those mods. Never had any issues with anything dropping through the floors, in the Castle or otherwise, other than maybe a coffee pot or something sitting on a table, if I scrap the table first. I'm not certain what is causing SirGalahad's issue.
