Vermithraxe
Try installing Wrye Bash, run it and then simply dragging the said plugin to the bottom of the load order. Super simple fix and set Vortex to not auto change the load order. Besides the fact that you will most likely need Wrye bash for a bashed patch this will allow you to modify the load order with drag and drop while running it from Vortex. Vortex takes a bit to learn but will handle most of the load order for you just like LOOT does, then running Wrye Bash will alow for simple drag and drop load order changes that if Vortex has not been set to auto load order will not change the order. While Vortex could have implemented drag and drop it did make using Loot or Wrye Bash easy to use and honestly you should be using a bashed patch for any mix of different weapon mods and such especially if playing Fallout 4. In time I am sure Vortex will surpass the need for LOOT to be installed separately since it uses LOOT in the auto function and honestly why not use Vortex's auto function and just use Wrye Bash to make and keep up your bash patches while allowing you to drag and drop the order you need as a final touch before running the bashed patcher. Hope that helps
Grestorn
Sorting the same list with two different tools at the same time? Not a good idea.Itâs not THAT hard to tell Vortex/Loot that a particular Patch has to be sorted at the end of the list.
sopmac45
""" …. Besides the fact that you will most likely need Wrye bash for a bashed patch ….""" Well, I've never used a bashed patch and I am not using one, neither for Skyrim nor for my recently installed Fallout 4 and my games are running like a charm, by just : - Setting rules in the MODS tab as soon as each mod is installed and it has a conflict with other (s) ….- Leave auto-sort enabled in the PLUGINS tab … Vortex is taking care of my sorting automatically ( I am not using LOOT ) and I do not have a merged / bashed patch or had the need to use Wyre Bash … I have not even had the need to worry about placing a plugin at the bottom of my load order at all, like for example, Flower Girls ( Skyrim mod ) which has been recommended by the author to be placed at the bottom … so mine is not at the bottom, it has been sorted automatically by Vortex and it is working like a charm …. - Play my game So far, I have been playing Fallout 4 ( since last Friday when I installed this game for the very first time in Vortex ) during 17.5 hours and no crashes, no problems of any kind and I just did the above steps. I am amazed by the easiest and simple way Vortex is handling my games. Just install mods, setup rules and forget. Period. Just because we have Manage Dependencies and Groups in the PLUGINS tab, does not means we must use them, unless there is a problem while running the game and I admit that it took me a while to trust Vortex blindly and to forget about what I had to do before in NMM, but at the end of the day, I am very happy with the way Vortex is letting me just do one thing to play my games : setup rules in the MODS tab … let it sort them automatically and play. No more merged patch, conflict winner patches via Xedit ( I know how to use that tool but no longer needed so far … ), etc …

I've been watching the conversations in the Vortex Development from time to time and it seems there are plans to add features that will enable people to have quite a lot of control over their mods. But just because they're there doesn't mean they'll need to be used by everyone. I've been using a bashed patch, so I'm using WryeBash, but beyond that I've just let Vortex do everything. I've learned a lot since about using Vortex since I originally started this thread. I was having issues with Lightweight Potions and Poisons and Rich Skyrim Merchants not working, I learned that simply by setting their global priority value to -5 and -10 respectively, they work like a charm now. I have Auto-Sort on and manage the occasional conflict, but Vortex is a lot simpler to use than both MO and NMM.
