SubjectProphet
So, I bought a computer to take with me to Afghan while my Alienware M18x remained at home in case the computer I currently have gets... well..... destroyed. So here I am in Afghan with my new computer, and I want to know- Why the HELL does it run at the same speeds as my Alienware M18x??????????!!!!!! Specs needed? Enjoy: System Model: Dell System Inspiron N4110Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1Processor: Intel® Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHzMemory: 6144MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 6038MB RAM (Uses more when GameBooster is active)Card name: Intel® HD Graphics Family (same chip name)Display Memory: 1696 MBDriver Version: 8.15.10.2345 Yes, THAT RUNS AT THE SAME SPEEDS AS MY ALIENWARE ON CRYSIS 2 ULTRA!!!!! I didn't upgrade of nothin'. And I'm mad. I could've sold my Alienware, bought this thing, and spent 500 dollars on games. Ugh. Someone explain to me how this is possible before I break a lamp (when I find one).
Rennn
What are your Alienware specs? The lowest quality part bottlenecks the rest of them. It won't matter if you have 3GB of vram if the HDD is 5.9Ghz and can't provide large textures fast enough, for example.
RitualBlack
That truly doesn't make any sense at all. There is no way that a laptop with a integrated card should be able to even run Crysis 2 over medium settings so you have me extremely confused. Are you running just a regular CD version of Crysis 2? I always run a game from a CD on a computer. But even with that, it shouldn't above High settings. It's either I bought one rigged up computer or something is wrong with the universe O.o What are your Alienware specs? The lowest quality part bottlenecks the rest of them. Illiad86
Possibly the CPU? I'd need to know the specs of your Alienware to know though.
SubjectProphet
Once again, I don't HAVE my Alienware, I don't KNOW the specs. The type though is the M18x, which is currently upgraded (did that before I left....)....... Edited May 15, 2012 by SubjectProphet
ub3rman123
If I recall correctly, Alienware has a bit of a reputation as being overpriced for the hardware quality.

I haven't had a single problem with my alienware yet, now I need to quit saying I have one because all people say to me is that it's an overpriced junkpile. Most people who tell me that have never even touched one before. So, if a gaming PC is amazing and priced above 1,000 dollars, it's overpriced? Most gaming computers are 1,000+ dollars.
