Guest deleted2630050
What are you using to cool your CPU? I wouldn't be confident in the included Wraith Spire to adequately cool an OC'd R7 2700.
niphilim222
Your right i should swap out for a third party, any suggestions. heck i might by another one that i am using for my older 8350 build. https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&cm_re=hyper_212-_-35-103-099-_-Product
Deleted55545892User
Funny, I'm running Intel with Vega.. you're like the opposite. Although I'm considering moving to Ryzen as well. Outside of size, you're not going to notice upgrading the Evo much... if at all. edit: Err.. or did you already buy a Crucial? Oh well.. Still good to have more size. elpuertorro
Why the soundcard? that Mobo should have equal or even slightly better audio, back in the days yes but for a soundcard you better off with the onboard audio unless you have a external DAC and such which would be better. HeyYou
Why the soundcard? that Mobo should have equal or even slightly better audio, back in the days yes but for a soundcard you better off with the onboard audio unless you have a external DAC and such which would be better.Yeah, Starting with windows vista, directsound went away. That forced ALL sound processing to go thru the CPU no matter how nice of a sound card you had. (for games/applications that use directx for sound.) Creative labs came out with 'Alchemy', which intercepted directsound calls, and converted them to openAL, which WOULD get processed by the sound card. Of course, it adds another layer of complexity to gaming.... with the expected results.... instability, odd sound problems, etc. But then, back then, computer hardware wasn't nearly so powerful as it is today. Using onboard sound is, in a lot of cases, actually BETTER than the expensive sound cards..... (depending, of course, on what Mobo you buy.)
