MarkusTay
3D' isomorphic?Basically, 'fake' 3D. its what we had back before real 3D came around, like it Diablo1 & 2. I HATED first-person when I first rtied it. My kids laughed at me. Now That's all I play.
geala
Normal gamey "1st person" is not immersive, it is unimmersive because in reality you nearly always see parts of the body at least in peripheral vision, and in games you don't. So such mods with visible body are really an improvement. However I still like playing in 3rd person more, in TES and FO. For VR such a "1st person-see body" mechanic would be great. I will not play VR with floating hands or weapons, never ever.

I remember asking my son (who is now 30), "Oh... is that one of those 'hand' games"? My oldest is old enough not to like them either - he is only just starting to get used to them now, after I did. My second son (27) has always loved them. Its funny how quickly tech leaves us behind.
AeonsLegend
3D' isomorphic?Basically, 'fake' 3D. its what we had back before real 3D came around, like it Diablo1 & 2. I HATED first-person when I first rtied it. My kids laughed at me. Now That's all I play. I know what it is, I just don't know why you brought it up. I find Beth games in 1st person extremely poorly executed, even if the engine is built for it. Bad animations, bad hand movements. Stuff just doesn't make sense and it just breaks immersion for me. If it was implemented better then I might enjoy it more. Simply holding your hands in front of you 24/7 because you fight barehanded or holding a sword in front of you because you're holding a sword is just dumb. Makes no sense. Even with a gun it doesn't make sense. If I run around with a gun in my hands it's not in my fov the entire time. I'm not holding it in front of my face. so why implement that in the game? Rethrain
Actually, one of the reasons I play Bethesda games more than others, in fact probably THE reason, is the ability to easily switch between 1st and 3rd person. I generally play in 3rd person except when in combat or in really tight confines. Although I spend more time overall in3rd person, it's hugely important to me to be able to switch when I want. I absolutely flippin' love the ability to do that. So much so that, If Bethesda ever got rid of that feature, I'd stop playing their games. Yup, agree completely.Though getting rid of the 3rd person view would probably cut at least half of the mods out there...I mean...there a lot of armor mods.Main point is, I've no idea why they didn't make a mod to see your body. Maybe Skyrim gets a little more attention from modders than F4.

One reason why we don't have cool melee combat in FO4...
Frogzilla82
I'm not really interested in seeing my hands and feet. The weapon is enough. I'm far more interested in looking at other things instead.
Mast3rT0ast
Sorry to necro the thread, but I personally LOVE to play both first, and third person, Skyrim included.I wish someone could/would make a Joy of Perspective type mod for Fallout 4, as I LOVED it in Skyrim.Alas, I have very minimal GECK knowledge, otherwise I'd do it myself.Had to use GECK to fix some mod incompatibilities with Skyrim and Fallout 4, and that's all I learned/know. FlorisVI
the majority of people probably play fallout 4 in third person (on PC) - (i know i do), thus rendering a see your body mod redundant, not too mention fallout 4 does third person far better then skyrim. (the character models, skin textures, movement, etc etc are far superior to skyrim, thus greatly encouraging playing the game in third person view) skyrim is literally designed to be played in first person, so that warrants said mod to be much more beneficial to skyrim. why would you want to spend ages creating your character, and downloading all them cool armor and clothing mods (high res skin texture mods, custom hair mods etc etc it goes on), only to never actually see them because you are playing in first person view. yeah... basically no-one plays in third person, especially not on pc. its the other way around buddy
shinelucid
It think it is possible to reverse engineer immersive first person mod from skyrim to get it to work on fallout 4 since they both share the same file structures
