BlackRampage
But that said, I've been looking for a Fellout compatible Weather mod. I downloaded the Dynamic Weather mod, only to find that horrible green sky was back. Ewww! I've been looking for one, but so far no luck. I there a way to have rain and sunny blue skies? Not 100 percent sure on this, but I think they actually can be combined so you get both the weather effects + the green tint removal: First, download the Paradox Ignition version of Fellout. (it's without the texture files, but you don't want those anyway) Then Download and install Xepha's Dynamic Weather (yes, including the texture files) Then just make sure your Dynamic Weather plugins load after the Fellout plugin. charwo
Thank you BlackRampage. But...I'm confused. Wouldn't the green tint be a part of the Dynamic Weather? I mean, what it looks like to me is that Fellout overrides the green sky of vanilla, and then Dynamic Weather, puts it back in, via negation. Or worse, the weather effects are generated using the vanilla template which means that Dynamic weather has them as templates. In that case, it would follow I'd need new templates for Dynamic Weather not a lack of them in Fellout. So, if I'm mistaken, please straighten me out. BlackRampage
Yeah, I can see how it might be confusing, but Dynamic Weather only overrides Fellout's water color records. (just the color of the water and some fog properties)So then you'll have the green tint removed by Fellout and a whole lot of weather effects added by Dynamic Weather. Sounds about right to me. Do keep in mind that the Paradox Ignition version of Fellout has been mastered. (the header has been altered to .esm format instead of .esp) So you'll either have to run masterupdate on all plugins in front of it to ensure that it loads as low as possible or simply use the plugins from the normal version of Fellout. (yes, you can use those too, you'll just end up with 5 or 6 plugins instead of just 1) Just don't forget not to install Fellout's texture files if you do so. charwo
Actually I found out the problem was that I didn't install FOSE properly. Once I did, the skies cleared right up, in both the literal and metaphorical senses.
charwo
OK, next issue: Found the enhanced weather mod. I like it... ...except for the radioactive rain. The radioactive rain is not, I repeat NOT cool. How do I make it stop?
MichikoUnknownFox
Do you want the rain to stop in general, or do you just want the rain to not be radioactive? The methods for stopping either are different.
charwo
Rain I like. I wouldn't have a problem with radioactive rain if this were set in the 2080s, but not in 2277. So no RADIOACTIVE rain.
charwo
Ah, revisiting this first thread. OK, this is what I have found: Enhanced weather has a radioactive rain component. I deep sixed that and have been happy ever since. I'm actually quite happy with FWE and a green world combo. I am wondering at this point if there's any mods that take the game for scavenging to rebuilding? I know rebuilding is more of a Fallout New Vegas things, but still....I had asked about business mods and such but I had questions that are more tangential: What is the difference between Green World and Badass Wasteland Reclamation? I probably won't change from BWR, but still, I'd like to know for comparison purposes. Which is a better mod set? Enhanced Weather with Fellout or Project Reality? As in, which seems to look the best and which is the most realistic? I might switch up, but I'd like some feedback if you guys would like to give it. Thanks! shadowfx78
Hey charwo if you use Nexus Mod Manager or FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) to install Enhanced Weather you can choose which plugins you want to install. or just delete the radioactive rain and snow plugin.
