Extremely slow downloads

@daniel954; Just so you know, "Premium" (or "Supporter") status only lifts the cap. It doesn't magically improve your connection speed.

 

If your ISP, and/or the Nexus CDN, and/or the specific download server you select, isn't able to provide faster throughput, then you won't see any difference.

Noticed a very slow download speed on Vortex, so I bought Premium just to get a ton of mods downloaded asap cuz I don't have much time.

 

Unfortunately, it didn't change anything. Getting ridiculously slow download speed on all Nexus server, even manual downloads which is weird.

Nothing wrong with my internet rn and I never had this problem either.

Downloading up to 8MB/s on Steam and other places, but for some reason Nexus servers are just refusing to work properly, at least for me.

 

Any solution?

Nvm, thankfully it resolved automatically after a couple of hours. No idea what's the reason but I'm glad it's fixed now and I'm getting downloads as fast as I do on Steam.

My download speeds vary between 70-105kb/s since the beginning of December. I'm a premium user. There is is nothing wrong with my internet connection, its only on this site. Is this the new norm?

What is with this damn slow download speeds?! Im premium and have 25MB download speeds but any mod i download through MO2 from Nexus sits around 60KB/s

 

Can you guys at Nexus please order a server in Australia? :P

Premium user here with 500Mbps symmetrical fiber connection in Portland, Oregon.

 

VERY slow download speeds on all nearby premium servers and CDN. Brief spikes up to 1Mbps, but typically 300Kbps sustained.

I assure you, there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. Speed tests show results in the high 400Mbps. I am a systems engineer by trade and I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with my PC or hardware either.

Pinging the CDN results in the IP of - 185.180.13.131

This is TERRIBLE experience for which I paid money for and it is unacceptable that this issue has been persistent this long. I would have been fired if a similar issue persisted in a system under my administration.

This always seems to happen between 18:00 and 23:00 / 6PM and 11PM gtm+0 timezone, outside of that time span I always get normal usual speed.

 

And this is not my ISP, it really is from Nexus because sometimes I'm also downloading other stuff and get much higher speeds.

Nothing else seems affected, on Steam I get 7 MB/s down and similar speeds on torrents. I made a thread on /r/skyrim mods and a few other people said they where having issues also.

I'm in the US, East Coast

My IP is 96.245.206.189, I've tried changing it a few times to see if maybe that address was flagged or something, but got the same results.

Pinging the site gives me

Which seems fine to me.

And finally downloading the sample files from the CDN gives me the same speeds, about ~600 kbps average right now.
