Evangela
Alright, with info provided.. it goes like this. The player is kept in cryo stasis undisturbed for 150 years (2077 - 2227), before Kellog shows up.The player is put back to sleep for 60 years after Kellog shows up (2227 - 2287). Kellog is 48 years old in 2227(born 2179: source Fallout 4 wiki), therefore in 2287 he is 108 years old.

SKKmods
That's exactly what a synth would say. ps its a minor irritant, but the Gunners are mercenaries. Mercenaries do unethical jobs for money. There are a lot of Gunners hanging around. Who the hell hires all those Gunners to keep that economic train rolling along ?
TheGadget1945
Who in their right mind would want to be in a relationship with any of the companions ? Heather Casdin has recently became invisible and Cait has disappeared to the Combat Zone for no apparent reason so I reluctantly hooked up with Piper. At the moment she is walking round me in tight circles and suddenly staring into my eyes although she barely knows me; when I hurry somewhere she runs full tilt up to me then crashes into me. She is a gibbering lunatic Some styles never go out of fashion lol. I think the longest I ever had a leather jacket was 6 years. I would love to meet Kellogg's tailor. I've had most of mine for over 15 years. Good quality stuff lasts, even if it gets a bit rough and torn up around the edges.

(but, better the leather jacket, than MY flesh. Side Note: Blue jeans last about three tenths of a second at 55 mph.)
Undeadbob666
I feel like everytime Kellog got his jacket ripped he just stole a new one off one of his recent kills. I could also see him just blasting a guy for his leather jacket. The Gunners keep getting hired by Bunker Hill to protect their caravans. And all those shady folks in the stands in Diamond City, bunch of jerks.
Culuf
I'm sorry I haven't read through the thread if someone has said this already, but! Now I've read through it.Raiders who cry out right after you shoot them directly in the brain. o_OI keep hoping for a "silent deaths" mod.. Disclaimer: I have never actually shot anyone in the brain IRL nor have seen it done outside of movies. This is just an educated guess :D Edited August 27, 2018 by Culuf
CiderMuffin
Things not making sense is a common trait in Fallout games. For instance in 2 why would slavers who are being hunted down by the only structured government with a active military and specialized branch of soldiers tattoo their logos on their forehead? Like even ignoring the NCR you are marking yourself with a group that raids settlements and caravans for slaves, most settlements would be hostile to you. In New Vegas why was Freeside a huge slum when the only way civilians can get into the strip was through freeside? why wasn't the King setting up ways to protect the regular folk, or the various businesses to protect their clientele? Realistically Freeside would see all the trade and be a booming trading hub in the Mojave while Northside and Westside being the slums because all trade goes through freeside. Freeside is the main gate of the Strip, House, the Families, the locals, they would all see logic is putting funds into freeside to keep their main source of income and supplies safe. Video games aren't always the most realistic things. I think the longest I ever had a leather jacket was 6 years. I would love to meet Kellogg's tailor. I've had most of mine for over 15 years. Good quality stuff lasts, even if it gets a bit rough and torn up around the edges. I mean if we're being real my grandfather kept wearing suits and such up that looked from the 1950s until he died. There are people who grow so accustomed to their style that they'll keep it no matter how long they age. Also another factor that maintaining gear and clothes would most likely be a common thing for a traveler and I can buy that Kellogg in his journeys learned how to sew I imagine a lot of people know how to sew in a post apocalyptic wasteland where sewing clothes together is a necessity. Fallout 4 is a more enjoyable game if you don't think too much about it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/458606877310719380/ This a pretty bad post to well, post. It's filled with inaccuracies, doesn't provide sources and just ignores the explanations in the games. Like Fallout 2, it ignores the whole point of the NCR being an actual structured government made up of more then one city. Diamond city doesn't have access nor the power to actually establish a currency. Also while it's shown to be a trading hub it's also shown to not be the center of all trade in the commonwealth. All the caravans call Bunker Hill home. It ignores that Shaun didn't want to focus on cybernetics because of Kellogg, Shaun doesn't like Kellogg and only kept him because he saw Kellogg as an asset. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Shaun.txt "The BoS on the west coast doesn't exist, two and new vegas proved this." The BoS wasn't destroyed in Fallout 1, they survived in Fallout 2 and were a major R&D house that traded non-deadly tech to the core wasteland. The NCR were even on good terms with the BoS before the BoS-NCR war (Hell, NCR even named a state after Maxson). New Vegas also doesn't say the BoS was completely destroyed and we see BoS in the Mojave, who are part of the west coast BoS. We can even speculate that the NCR vet rangers who were "hunting ghosts in Baja" before being sent to the Mojave were looking for the BoS given the NCR wiped out all their enemies on the west coast and hunted down most of the Enclave so the BoS is the only likely case that would call for the elite of the NCR's military. Using Van Buren and Fallout Bible as sources is hilarious because you're using a cancelled game and a bible that the creator, Chris Avellone, straight up said were non-canon and a build up for Van Buren which is again a non-canon game as it was cancelled and never released. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Bible https://twitter.com/ChrisAvellone/status/101700464676044800 "The Institute didn't invent teleportation, big MT did and their's was better!" Big MT did invent a form of teleportation but it could only transport one person, required a satellite and required a remote. The Institute only needed a radio broadcast, could teleport multiple people and didn't require a remote (most likely an implant for humans, synths were already tuned to it and could be locked out) but the more important factor is, how would a group in the east coast know what a group in the west coast that is not even known about by most of the world know that? They did invent teleportation but it's like saying because ancient Chinese and Koreans built a printing press that Gutenberg shouldn't be credited for inventing a printing press I can go all day pointing out all the flaws in this forum post but I feel I made my point. Fallout 4 does have weak areas in lore but this post is nitpicky complaining that ignores actual lore, in-game explanations, uses non-canon sources and doesn't use common sense. If there's one thing that has broken my immersion bubble time and time again in all Bethesda games it is this: https://youtu.be/I7X9S8q1FXQ?t=122 The age-old hero cliche. I don't want to be a friggin' leader, I just want to fend for myself and remain an underling with factions I choose to align myself with. Those factions having a far more established hierarchy would be so much more believable. Cool. Railroad and BoS doesn't have you in a leader position and for all purposes the general title isn't so much as being a leader because of the Minutemen being a decentralized volunteer militia with no command structure, really. Sure there are squad leaders but that's it, the General is a figurehead that is a symbol of the Minutemen's ideals hence why doing grunt work was important. Also you become the leader in New Vegas the moment you take over House's mainframe with Yes Man, or the Vault Dweller becoming the leader of Arroyo, or the Chosen One ascending to lead Arroyo and creating a massive city. As for the age-old hero cliche, literally every Fallout games does a hero that came and saved everyone.
